When I see homeless people with pets, maybe this is awful, but I feel more inclined to give them something. I used to live in Portland and would often see homeless people with a dog. It's really true that when you have nothing, that unconditional love that comes from your pets might just be the only reason you're still alive. Thanks for all the insight @arbitrarykitten <3
