Esemka is confirmed to be present at the Indonesia International Motor Show or IIMS 2023. Esemka has the opportunity to 'reunion' with President Jokowi if the country's leader comes and opens the exhibition.
It is known, before the pandemic emerged, President Jokowi had opened IIMS directly on location. Meanwhile, during the pandemic, he only opened it via video connection or online.
Currently, the pandemic has subsided. In fact, PPKM regulations or activity restrictions have also been revoked. So, President Jokowi has a great opportunity to be present in person at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta to open the IIMS 2023 exhibition

Jokowi-Esemka Ever Intimate
Currently, Esemka has completely become a private business owned by a company from Boyolali, Central Java, namely PT Solo Manufaktur Kreasi. However, their journey cannot be separated from politics and Jokowi.
Before serving as president, Jokowi often 'promoted' Esemka cars. In fact, during the inauguration of the factory and the introduction of the first product, the number one person in Indonesia was also present.
The development of Esemka started in 2007, initially it was created as a learning project for Vocational High School students in Solo. Then in May 2009, a pickup called Digdaya appeared to the public.
The public then became more familiar with Esemka after Jokowi, who served as Mayor of Solo (2005-2012), made Esemka's SUV named Rajawali his official car.
When Jokowi took part in the 2012 DKI Jakarta Pilkada, this car was used on the way from Solo to Jakarta. However, Esemka's prestige had sunk when Jokowi was elected Governor of DKI Jakarta (2012-2014). Even so, Esemka skyrocketed again when Jokowi held a 2014 presidential election campaign.
A company called Adiperkasa Citra Esemka Hero (ACEH) which is a combination of Solo Manufaktur Kreasi (SMK) and Adiperkasa Citra Lestari (ACL) then built the Esemka factory in Boyolali in 2017. However, the first vehicle was only launched in 2019.
Even though it has been almost four years in the Indonesian four-wheeler market, Esemka has yet to register as a member of Gaikindo.
