Photography has become a huge part of my life, and I'm so grateful for the way it's opened my eyes to the beauty around me.
To me, it is more than just capturing moments or snapping pictures. It's an art form that has taught me to slow down, observe, and truly appreciate the beauty that surrounds me. As I began to explore the world of photography, I found myself developing a newfound appreciation for the intricate details and textures of everyday life. A sunrise is no longer just a sunrise; it's a kaleidoscope of warm hues and soft light. A walk in the park is no longer just a stroll; it's an opportunity to capture the vibrant colors of nature and the unique patterns of the natural world.
But what's even more fascinating is how photography has changed the way I perceive people. I could just be looking at someone and think to myself, "This would be a really nice shot." I don't look at people as just people anymore; I see them as subjects, as compositions, as stories waiting to be told. The way the light falls on their face, the textures of their clothing, the expressions that reveal their personality – everything becomes a potential photograph.
The same applies to videography. I could be watching a movie and find myself analyzing the transitions, the camera angles, and the color grading. I'll pause the video just to appreciate the way the colors work together, or to study the composition of a particular shot. It's no longer just about watching a movie; it's about dissecting the art form, understanding what makes it tick, and learning from it.
But the creative process doesn't stop after capturing the image. I've also grown to love the art of photo editing – the process of enhancing and refining the image to bring out its full potential. With each click of the mouse, I feel like I'm uncovering a new layer of depth and emotion in the photograph. Whether it's adjusting the exposure, playing with colors, or adding subtle textures, photo editing has become an integral part of my creative journey.
Of course, getting the perfect shot often requires some creativity – and a willingness to get a bit awkward! I've found myself climbing trees, lying down on dirty floors, or crouching in tight spaces, all in pursuit of that one perfect photo. But when I finally get it, the sense of satisfaction is incredible.
Photography and videography have become a part of who I am, and I'm grateful for the way they've opened my eyes to the beauty and complexity of the world. I see things differently now – as a collection of moments, textures, and colors waiting to be captured and appreciated.
All pictures were taken/edited by me.
