Finally, I’m back to my usual self! I can say goodbye to pain, and even though it’s freezing outside, I’m ready to head back to work this weekend. Honestly, I’d rather stay cozy in my warm apartment, but hey, after nearly two weeks indoors, it’s time to get out!
Yesterday, I decided to surprise my friend with a morning visit. She lives in the most beautiful, peaceful spot, and every time I’m there, I can’t resist snapping photos. The mornings are just magical. I looked back through the photos from my last visit, and wow, I have so many it’s hard to pick just a few! The same thing happens at home. My balcony view is perfect for those misty mornings, nine years here, and I’ve collected a whole gallery of misty shots!
So, I figured I’d post some autumn pictures. Despite the chilly weather, autumn is just so beautiful and peaceful, especially early on a Sunday when there’s no traffic, just silence. It’s that cozy season when the leaves turn golden, orange, and red, and everyone tries to squeeze in as many pumpkin spice lattes as possible.
Right now, autumn is hitting places like Europe, North America, and parts of Asia. And of course, it’s festival season! There’s Oktoberfest in Germany with big mugs of beer, Diwali in India lighting up everything, and the American classic, Thanksgiving, where people eat way too much turkey. ( Thank you Google for educating me) 😊
Let me tell you a little bit about Oktoberfest! In Germany, Oktoberfest is this huge celebration in Munich that started way back in 1810. It’s basically one big party with giant tents full of beer, traditional German music, people dressed in lederhosen and dirndls (the cool Bavarian outfits), and tons of hearty food like pretzels, sausages, and roast chicken. It runs for about two weeks, usually from late September to the first weekend of October, and people come from all over the world to join the fun. And here’s the thing... I still haven’t been! Maybe it’s time to plan a trip there next year, because who doesn’t want to join the world’s biggest autumn festival?
Oh, and here’s something fun about autumn in Slovenia! One of the big traditions here is St. Martin’s Day, which isn’t exactly a festival, it’s more like a perfect excuse to drink a lot of wine! St. Martin’s Day, or "Martinovanje," is on November 11th and celebrates the moment when grape juice officially turns into wine. People gather to eat good food, drink new wine, and enjoy time with family and friends.
( my crazy drunk family)
It’s one of Slovenia’s favorite autumn traditions, and the wine flows freely! Maybe it’s not Oktoberfest, but it’s our own way of having a great time in the fall.
Autumn might be cold, but it fills me with a kind of peacefulness that makes it all worth it. So let me show you how amazing it can be! 🍁

A wonderful post with wonderful photos dear @tinabrezpike, I especially like the photos with fog
Hvala ti puno! ☺️ I love your photos, too! You’re an amazing photographer!
Draga Tina, hvala i tebi, veliki pozdrav iz Siska! ❤️
I love the Fall in your photos, I love the solemn look of those trees all stripped of their leaves.. really beautiful!
The tradition of getting drunk is a good one, it can't be all work, a little play is necessary 😁
You’re absolutely right, after so much work, they deserve to drink and dance! I can’t help but laugh when I see my whole family completely drunk, dancing and singing. :)) Thank you so much! :)
You are welcome!
Hi, I'm glad you're feeling well.
The photos are beautiful, here in Cuba there is no autumn season, we only have summer and hardly any winter. The autumn colours are beautiful, I really like all the photos that show this season.
Thank you! ☺️ I know you don’t have autumn there, which is why I love posting these photos so people from other parts of the world can see those colors. :) ❤️
The pictures you show are very beautiful, the color of the leaves in the first picture is very beautiful, friend.

Beautiful photographs! I love the mist shots. Since we live on a lake I should have collected more myself, but the ones I have gotten have been wonderful. I'm loving seeing all the ones you have posted here. Give that puppy at the end a big pat on the head and hug from us here in South Jersey! Enjoy the season! 😁🥰☀️🍁🍻
Thank you so much! :) Oh, living on a lake is my dream ❤️waking up every morning and seeing mist floating over the water... But my camera and phone don’t have enough storage because I’d definitely take hundreds of photos every day 😂. I gave a big pat on the head to this puppy (I’m not allowed to call her an old lady 😂)We’re sending big hugs back, and I’ll definitely enjoy this season… though she won’t! 😂
The photos are heavenly. It must be amazing walking down the roads or hiking in the mountains.
I love this season more than summer because of the mystery of the dew drops and fog.
Thank you! ;) I love these misty mornings, but I’m not a fan of having to work early when my car is frozen. ;)
I live a totally opposite life, in the other side of the world.
Enjoy what life gave you. Have a great day.
