A few days ago, I went out on an adventure and ended up exploring a pretty cool place! One that I hadn't seen in nearly a decade.
An abandoned 1920s nurse residence for the former TB sanatorium in Hamilton Ont. (post from that explore: https://hive.blog/hive-104387/@terrywayne/abandoned-1920s-nurse-residence), and I wanted to make a second trip to light paint inside of it. That didn't work out because of several people parked at the building. They were just standing at their cars talking, but I'm not one for taking chances so I decided to wait them out (it was clear they had nothing to do with the property but were also facing right were the opening is).
So it was time for plan b! Hiking to the tunnel at the top of Westcliffe falls. After the 150 foot climb I reached the entrance and got a decent view of the city.
About 50 feet into the tunnel there is a hill and then the tunnel goes straight for quite a distance.
I do not have arachnophobia but also do not enjoy spiders. So when I reached the top of the hill and saw hundreds of spiders on the ceiling and walls, well lets just saw I figured out some shots to do at the hill lol.
I broke out the steel wool and started spinning.
For a plan b, this location is always fun and great for photos. I'll just have to try again after it has gotten a little bit colder so the spiders are gone!
Oh did you notice the face behind you, who is that :)
Nice composition @terrywayne. I think flying sparks looks interesting, I wish there was a huge spider web while the sparks fly next to it, or behind it etc... Nice capture, love the colors.
Thanks!! and nope I didn't lol
