Sublime and Beautiful Sunday for the birds

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

Have a super Sunday Everyone

For this week I am going with some shots of birds to fit in with these two themes as I do find birds both beautiful and can be sublime catching one you have seen that species for a while or in lovely light

These were all taken over a few visits to Buttonwood park here in New Bedford and although I soetimes see birds inthe trees in other parts of the park, I get most of my bird shots there around the pond

I have bene w=swinging by there as often in winter some other species of birds may come ot the pond, but with the drought we had and the pond levels low for a while, there has only been the same Ducks Seagulls and Canadian geese that are there year round

Luckily we have had some good rainy days and the levels in the pond are a lot better now, I did swing by the POnd yesterday to check out if there were any new arrivals, but not yet and it was a cloudy gloomy and cold day so not sure how my shots came out will chekc them out when I get them off my computer after I finish editing and share this post

as I have probabvly said to many times when I share a photo of the herons, they sense when I am gettign close enough to get photos and quickoly fly away to another side of the pond, and this time I was able to quickly change setting and catch a shot of it flying away

Geese are thick on the lake here. Gathering up for the trip south. Nice shots of the heron especially with the gold color on the pond.

Ohh yeah the geese love this pond always lots of them there all year round some even hang around over winter

What beautiful birds there are in Buttonwood Park, I love the beautiful herons
Have a beautiful SundayGood morning Mr. @tattoodjay

Thanks kindly your support is appreciated

Have a great day

I really admire how you bring out the beauty in nature. Do you have any tips for someone just starting with wildlife photography?

Thanks, and as for tips, I think the most important one is HAVE FUN

but other than that there are some good sights that are very helpful, when I got back into photography a few years back I checked out Digital photography school a lot https://digital-photography-school.com/ they have many tutorials that I found great

but i a lot of what I have picked up over the years comes down to trail and error, when I first got a camera again back in maybe 2006 I went out and just played aroudn with different settings for different situations and foudn what seemed to work when I looked at the photos when I got back

and all of that is probably not so helpful so let me to be a bit more helpful

I shoot in Aperture priority mode a lot for lanscapes, and shutter priority for birds, especailly if tryign to catch tme in flight thats important as you need a high shutter speed to slow them down in flight such as the heron in flight inb this post I used 1/1250 to freeze it in flight, and often I go even higher in shutter speed up to 1/3000 sometimes

without a doubt spending time close to birds and photographing them is sublime
What beautiful shots, I appreciate you sharing with us
