RE: BACKYARD SAFARI - “The eye never forgets what the heart has seen.” -- African Proverb

What humans? LOL Yes they are, these were taken on a trip to the San Diego Zoo about 10 years ago. Was going through older photos and doing some editing with the new Lightroom and thought they would make a good write-up on thinking outside the box. And yes perhaps love is the theme of my post, never really thought about it before. I had open-heart surgery in 2017, almost died on the table, so now I tend to pay a little more attention to what's around me. I LOVE photography, nature, sunsets, animals, landscapes, night skies, and of course, my family. So glad you enjoyed them!

Haha! Yes, two two-legged mammals were noticed amongst the photos in your post! San Diego has an incredible zoo though I'm a bit biased towards our St. Louis Zoo!🦓🦒🐘🦁🐧

Sounds like you have a positive personality and outlook. I wish you a long, healthy life filled with doing all the things that bring you happiness! Both my father (no longer alive) and mother underwent open heart surgery. Mom's was six weeks ago and, God willing, will be 80 yrs old at the end of this month. I'm caring for her fulltime while she recovers.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend! @steelthong🔆

Dare I ask, what's the story behind your user name?

ROFL! Sooner or later everyone has to ask. I'm a bit of an old-school nerd and computer geek, like one of the originals from the '90s. I was an avid online gamer back in the day, I started out with a game called Everquest and then went on to World of Warcraft, which I played for many years. One of the characters I played was a Dwarven Warrior. When I created him I was stuck trying to figure out a name so scanning the room I saw a pair of my wife's panties on the floor next to the bed and an old show called Remington Steele playing on the bedroom TV and BAM, Steelthong was born. It was such a hit with the other online players I kept using it over the years for various games and users names, it always gets a good laugh whenever I use it. Tell your mother I know how she feels right now, like she will never feel normal again after her surgery, make sure she know it WILL pass. It will take time, and will be really frustrating at times, but little by little she WILL recover. It's been 4 years since my surgery and my wife and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary at Lake Tahoe. I hiked 3 miles round trip down to the lake at Emerald Bay at an altitude of 6250 ft above sea level. 2 years ago a trip to the grocery store would have worn me out. She will be in our prayers.
