Not to long ago I made a post about
old things that I captured, then it
was tin cans and today I thought
a mix could be cool.
I have many different ones and here
are my favorite in black&white.

It was in a shed on my brothers
property before they torn it
all down and sold this.
I absolutly LOOVE this kind of things.
Inside that shed was this little
fridge and cabinett.

My last share for today and my
favorite old items.
PROJECTOR!
My family always been passionate
about photographs, old Slides.
And my grandfather passed those beautiful projectors on to my
parents, and they are full
function actually.
I think most of my photography interest comes from growing up seeing my grandfather make family photo
albums, make edits and such.
So that is how my passion started,
but I only started taking pictures
for real (seriously) at Age 20.
I think I wasn't very confident back
then, didn't think my pictures
were good enogh to share or
put in any album.
Then my grandfather said he loved
them, especially my sunset and
beach pictures and these 2
were his favorites.
That made a HUGE difference, but I
only started to share my pictures
here on hive after...
enter some picture contests
and made sure my pictures
were good enogh.@derangedvisions told me to
And the respond I got just blew me
away, and after learning more
along the way from other
amazing photographers
and experience...
I am where I am today 😊
Thankfull 🙏
And I might never be a professional photographer, but I don’t mind.
I love it and if I can make one person smile with my pictures...
Then I am happy 🤗

Wow! I've never seen a lawnmower of that design. It's like they took an old push-style reel mower and just stuck an engine on it. And I find it hilarious that it's called JLO. I wonder if JLo knows she shares her name with a mower. 😄
The design on the phone is fascinating to me, too. Not so much the handset, as we had similar over here, but the dialing mechanism. I've never seen one laid out like that! As for the two pieces with "stamps" on them...I wonder if maybe they got holes in them at some point, and the "stamps" were put over the holes to cover them up? Just a thought...
The kitchen actually looks a LOT like some I've seen in abandoned houses in this country. Some things are very much the same here and there, and others are wildly different.
Your truck looks like a Nissan, no? I used to drive one (that belonged to a boyfriend) of about that same era, and I swear if he and I hadn't both been passable mechanics, it never would've stayed running. 😂 It was the weirdest thing I ever did see - the compression inside the cylinders had actually gone UP with age (usually it goes down as wear & tear make the cylinder larger and/or the pistons smaller) so it chewed through starters like candy.
Ah, our beloved vehicles, and the things we do to keep them running. :D

My truck was a Nissan King Cab and cool you had one to, or your bf.
No fun with lots of issues with yourvehicle but If you know how to fix things... Then sure.
But I know the basics what needs to be known but not more than that so... If it breaks... Im screwed

That kitchen was in one of the old abandoned houses on my brothers property and they torn down all of them and the many sheds.
Why I tried capture it before it was gone, had character and lots of history Im sure.

My, they are like beautiful history. They all look old but I know they are super handy during the time that they are functional or something. Thats a lot of beautiful old stuffs (✯ᴗ✯)

Absolutely stunning pictures of old items! I think when you capture them in black and white, they somehow get character in the pictures making me wonder what the story is behind them.
You're great at capturing them in a way that the pictures tell a story of makes the reader want to dig into the story. For some these items would be considered junk and be thrown out immediately. I would do the same as you did, capture them first, so their story remains..

I agree the boxing gloves was a favorite and they were really old and looked different from ones I seen. Projector is also a favorite as it was my grandfathers and now we get to enjoy it.

These items are really old and black-white photos made them look older. So beautiful. You are doing good at photography. Derangedvisions is a very good photographer on Hive, best in my opinion 😅😅

Glad you liked it, and I might share some in color but I am one who loves blackwhite pictures so I wanted to do that in this post.
And sometimes pictures can look more amazing in black&white.
Only favorite I have in another edit and wasn't sure how it would look like in black&white is this one.
It is my altime favorite edit ever and almost looks like a painting.
And this is the boring original.
Was a experiment at work with the kids to put white tulips in water with colors in it.
It is fun to play around with edits 😉 even when it fails... Lol
I agree derangedvisions is one of my favorite photographers to along with tattoodjay, they both been a big inspiration.
That edited one looks mesmerizing. As you said it looks like a painting 💯💯

I think you and I would feel right at home in an Antique shop Sis. A neighboring municipality New Westminster has a charming street block that is lined with Antique stores. If I could free up a day to do a photo tour of the old stores. New Westminster is the oldest city in British Columbia founded as the original capitol until that was transferred to Victoria on Vancouver Island following the Caribou gold rush.
