Reptiles of Cuba: A Close Look / Reptiles de Cuba: Una Mirada Cercana. [Eng/Esp]

Hello, friends of Photography Lovers!

I'm happy to stop by again and share with you a little bit of my work with nature photography. Today I bring you some photos of Cuban reptiles. Although birds are my thing (that's my true passion!), I've always found reptiles fascinating, and taking pictures of them is a tremendous exercise in patience.

I tell you, to photograph these little critters you have to get into their world, stay very still and don't move a finger. Hopefully, they get used to our presence and give us the opportunity to take a good picture of them. It's a challenge, but it's worth it.

Another complicated task is to find them. Some of them are small and live in areas that are very difficult to access. Sometimes it has taken me several days of searching.

Sometimes you have to travel many kilometers to find endemic species, that takes sacrifice, but believe me it is worth it.

Many of these species look dangerous but they are not. We should not invade their space to prevent them from feeling stressed, especially the larger ones, but as long as all precautionary measures are taken, there are no problems.

And finally, something very important, it is not advisable to go alone, always accompanied is the best option. In the end, having a good time with friends and doing what we like is a great blessing in these difficult times.
