Red and Orange Sunset

I often see this vivid sunset from my window after dinner. I don’t close my blinds until the outside becomes completely dark because I love witnessing the changing colors of the sky.

I don’t need expensive artwork on my walls because this sunset is the most beautiful masterpiece in my home.

Layers of yellow at the bottom, followed by orange, pink, and red, resemble a sand art piece or a tropical cocktail in a glass. The black silhouettes of trees complete this artwork.

When I tried taking photos from my dining room window, the sun appeared differently than expected. So, I moved to another room to get a closer view of the sky. There, I saw a pink dragon floating high above.

As the sun sank, the yellow disappeared with it. The sun had taken the yellow away.

Soon after, dark shades overtook the orange and red, resembling a fire. The red and orange hues struggled to linger, but in the end, the darkness extinguished them. It reminded me of watching the flames in my wood stove.

It wasn’t too sad, though. I know the red and orange sky will return another day. Still, the moment felt a little melancholic, but just for a while. Soon, I’ll forget and wait for the next sunset.

赤、ピンク、黄色とオレンジの夕暮れ

夕食後によく見る光景です。こうして夕焼けを見るのが楽しみなので、完全に暗闇になるまでブラインドは下げないのが日常です。最後まで夕暮れの空の色を見届けます。

こんな綺麗な夕暮れが窓いっぱいに広がるので、壁に高い壁画は必要ないです。

黄色が一番下に、続いてオレンジ、ピンクと赤の層が出来上がっています。砂アートのオブジェやグラスの中のカクテルのようにも見えてきます。木々の黒のシルエットもこの夕日アートには必要不可欠なアイテムです。

ダイニングの窓から写真を撮ろうとすると、太陽が現れて、もうすでに眺めが変わってしまいました。別の部屋からもう少し間近で空をみようと移動すると、空高くピンクのドラゴン雲が見えました。

あっという間に太陽が沈んで、黄色の部分が消えました。太陽が連れ去ってしまったようです。

そしてすぐに、黒い空がオレンジと赤の部分を少しずつ消していきました。まるで、炎のようです。かなり頑張って灯っていた赤とオレンジがついに黒い空に消化されてしまいました。薪ストーブの火を眺めているような気分です。

悲しいわけではないのですが、ちょっと寂しいです。またすぐに同じような赤とオレンジ色の夕焼けが見られると思うのですが、毎回夕暮れの終わり頃にはメランコリーな気分になりがちです。まあ、そのあとすぐに夕暮れのことを忘れてしまうのですが。
