The Village of Smiles: Where Hospitality Rules the Hear

Friends! The picture you see here is of the innocent and beautiful children of Askole. Their smiles are truly heartwarming. These are the children who live in a small village nestled among towering mountains, far from the glittering world. Life here is not easy—harsh weather, difficult paths, and limited resources are part of their daily routine. Yet, despite all these hardships, their faces always shine with joy and happiness.

From a young age, these children are taught love, hospitality, and the importance of caring for others. They learn that if a guest arrives at their door, they should never be sent away empty-handed. Even if they themselves are hungry, they should still try to feed and make others happy. If there is just one piece of bread, they should share it. If there is only one cup of tea, they should drink it together. And if they have nothing to offer, they should at least welcome guests with kindness and a warm smile. This is the true essence of hospitality, deeply ingrained in their hearts.

These children do not rely on modern toys, mobile phones, or luxury facilities for happiness. Their joy lies in the open skies, in the falling snowflakes, and in the laughter they share with their friends. Their way of life teaches us that true happiness is not found in material things but in our attitude towards life.

Hospitality runs in their blood, passed down from generation to generation. Even if they have little, their greatest wealth is their generosity and their ability to make others happy. Perhaps this is what makes them some of the most loving and hospitable people in the world—just as I have read in many books. And by the grace of Allah, I am proud to belong to this very village.
