Last time I posted my food porn post, it was a lot of fun, so today I'm back with the rest of the photos, to show you can can you serve in Transylvania, or to make you jealous? 😆 You decide. In any case, rules apply again. If you haven't eaten yet, please go have breakfast, lunch, dinner or whatever meal is due for you.
Also, if you're before bedtime, don't look at the photos, don't read my post. Bookmark it and come back tomorrow as I guarantee you, you won't be able to sleep. Ok, consider yourself warned and let's see what I have been eating this month a very cool restaurant.
This dish most likely is going to create some ... tension because it's Rooster testicles stew with polenta.
It's a stew like any other you'd say, but not many are crazy about eating testicles. It wasn't mine, I prefer something else, but I was told it was good. Polenta is not a famous dish, it used to be staple food in my country under the name of "mamaliga", or "puliszka" in Hungarian. Now it is known more as polenta, the Italian version of it, which is made almost the same way, it's just that Italians are adding butter as well, which it's a nice addition, makes the flavor richer. I tried it with butter and it's good.
So, have you ever had testicle stew?
This is a dish that is calling your name, but you'd better stay away from it as it's over 4k kcal. The menu says 4320 kcal, to be precise. It's Roasted pork knuckle from the oven with beans and tomatoes. At first I didn't even notice the beans, but it's on the left side of the wooden tray. This is a dish that if I ever order, most likely more than half is going to end up in the pack I'm going to take home and eat it over the upcoming two days. 4320 kcal!!! I was told it was more than delicious, but damn!!! That's a calorie intake for 3 days!!!
I tried to find this on the menu, but no luck even after scrolling through it three times. To me, it looks like some kind of meat (maybe pork) wrapped in bacon, with mash potato and maybe mushroom sauce? I'm not a 100% sure, but it looks good.
Breaded vendace fillets with parsley potatoes, with mixed green salad and lemongrass sauce. I haven't had the pleasure to taste this dish, but it's on my list. It looks good, looks pretty light for my taste and worth going back for a portion.
I know many of you don't eat soup, but in my country soup is part of your lunch. You start the menu with a starter (if your stomach is big enough) and then you have soup, then the main course and dessert. We usually skip the starter as you literally can't eat that much.
This is Transylvanian vegetable soup with tarragon. This is traditional dish you can find in most if not all the restaurants in Transylvania and it is heavenly good. I'm making this soup at some quite often, but I use meatballs. I can recommend to try this soup out as you won't regret it.
Tagliatelle with mushroom and cream. I didn't taste this back then, but I was told the cream was too heavy and basically took over the taste of the whole dish. I had tagliatelle with truffle and cream at the beginning of the year at another restaurant and it was really good. This one I have to taste it.
Pig wings with steak potatoes and mixed salad. Looking at these photos, makes me think of how many times I have to go back to this restaurant, to taste everything it's on my list. Pork is not my first choice when I order, it only comes after chicken and fish, as these two are light meals and perfect for my stomach, but I would definitely taste this dish.
Goose liver on toasted bread and with red onion jam
Goose liver is an exquisite dish and not cheap at all. You need to open your wallet if you want goose liver. I had it several times, in several forms, but not this. Also, onion jam is something I still need to taste, so this dish is also on my list.
Vanison stew in wild mushrooms and rosemary. Looks good and tempting, but I was told it was spicy and hot, so it's definitely not for me. I leave this dish to the brave ones. I'm not one of them :)
Spicy beef cheeks with mashed potatoes and breaded onion rings. I think I had this dish in my previous post (not this photo though). Beef is a bit too heavy for my stomach, but then again, you can have it one. The reason I won't is, that it's spicy and I'm not a fan of spicy. However, I'm going to ask for a portion of these onion rings as I've never had any.
Breaded vendace fillets, with French fries, mixed green salad and lemongrass sauce. This is the same as the one I posted earlier in this post, just with french fries. I am ok with both types of potatoes, so it's on my list.
This is the second part of my Food Porn series and I'm proud to say, after looking at all these yummy dishes, I'm still fine, I'm not hungry and didn't rip off the fridge door either, so I think I deserve a medal for this heroic act 😆
Let me know in a comment, which one you'd like to taste, please.

I was just thinking about what I was going to cook, you left me with a very high bar after seeing these pictures, it's time to think about what I can prepare with two eggs and noodles HAHAHAHAJ Maybe something gourmet?
Two eggs and noodles are perfect for a delicious meal :)
The roasted pork knuckle is on another level. Definitely not a meal for one sitting. It looks like something best shared or saved for later lol but with how hungry I can get, I'll attempt although I know I won't make it eating everything
Everything looks really good, even the rooster testicle stew, though I don't think I would ever order it. I have eaten pig testicles, sliced and fried, which I found tolerable but not my favorite. Here they are known as mountain oysters.
Soup is one of my very favorite things to eat and this one looks delicious. Definitely try the onion rings....so yummy!
All the food looks Yummy, Is there a way to taste 😁🤤
