Palermo is a neighborhood in the city of Buenos Aires, well known for being upper class, however this neighborhood has subdivisions... We have Palermo Viejo, Palermo Hollywood, Palermo Chico and Palermo Soho. The truth is I don't know if there is another one but so far it's what I know. The fact is that each subdivision has its differences and its charm, they are no longer the same streets nor do they have the same aesthetics.

I have captured the daily life of people in Palermo Soho, especially near the popular Plaza Güemes, a very busy area, with many gastronomic establishments and full of trees everywhere you look.

We are in the spring season and many people go out to the streets to take a walk, visit the parks and sunbathe. I am always photographing emblematic buildings, focusing on architecture and I think this slightly more specific theme of people is interesting. I was actually looking for yellow tones at that time, looking for shadows and lights, pedestrian crossings and people at bus stops.

Having residential buildings and large trees available throughout the area is an incentive to compose images with them and in this way create harmonies between architecture and nature. I have taken these three photos of two different buildings, one more modern than the other but that coexist in this sub-neighborhood.

You can see a lot of architecture with French and Parisian style, which is why it is also one of the most touristic neighborhoods in the city.

I added some more photos that I took recently. Although these do not belong to Palermo Soho but rather to Palermo Hollywood, I think these images represent spring and its streets a little. The jacaranda trees and their leaves on the streets create scenes that you could even consider romantic.
