It's nice to know there still are truly remote beaches out there. Our beaches here (Washington state, Olympic Peninsula) aren't exactly crowded, but the proximity to Great Seattle's 4 million people (and change) means most weekends aren't exactly deserted.
We have local beaches that are good for birding (it's fun, I've been at it for a few years now) and it's a nice way to get away from most of the technology!
Funny enough, I was going to combine this with some photos of those beaches on the Olympic Peninsula taken the following week but decided to split the posts. We drove to Vancouver Island then headed down to Seattle and Olympia on the same road trip. The Washington State beaches weren't particularly crowded either but the traffic around Seattle was another story. Don't miss that.
I'll crack and get a good full frame camera with a telescopic lense soon, there's just been other priorities during the past year.
