What is the colour of mountains? Or should I say, what is the colour of snow covered mountains? Black, White & Blue are the most prominent colours (as long as we have some blue skies that is). Some might call this “mountain porn”, but I’m not a fan of using that phrase. Let’s just call it mountain eye candy. Photos taken near the Columbia Icefields, Banff Park, Alberta.

Beautiful 🥰🥰

It was. Thanks

I will definitely experience hypothermia if I am in a place like that

Up top yes, down below, your good.

I love how the snow "breaks" over the rough mountain. Reminds me of how well Bob Ross could copy this effect using a paint knife and have the roll of white paint break over the canvas

Always love me some Bob Ross!

I will have to admit that, while I love the monomad pics for their enhanced contrast and texture, I love the colour.

It amazes me how black and white the snow and granite can appear when compared to the azure sky. Then, you cover that part up and see how much of the sky is spilled on the rock and snow. Slight blue by comparison but wonderful.

Never get tired of photographing these mountains. Thanks for stopping by @zekepickleman!
