Preparing For Cobra Warrior

I don't seem to get out as much with my camera as I used to, but I am kind of looking forward to Exercise Cobra Warrior in September. Cobra Warrior is held once or twice a year across a number of bases throughout the UK and other countries.

If I am honest, I am a little in two minds about the event. Its often very much a free for all and aviation photographers can be an odd bunch (I am being very polite). There have been a number of occasions during the past couple of years where the desire to get that money shot seems to have allowed stupidity to override common sense, with a couple of events being curtailed due to photographers putting themselves in danger to get the shot.

If I do go, I will be visiting the two air bases local to me RAF Waddington and Coningsby although, as yet, I'm not completely aware of what countries and aircraft are taking part.

These are shots that (hopefully) I have not posted before from Cobra Warrior in 2023, It was a good event, though very very busy. This year it looks like it may be busier. But only time will tell.

About me:

I can mostly be found shooting models, aviation, motorsports and, when I can, wildlife. But I enjoy most aspects of photography. You can find more of my work on the links below.
