During these holiday days, I have lived very intense days, filled with events and presentations. Things that ultimately are part of my dream in music, but those who know, know that it generates a lot of stress. To escape a bit from this situation, I went to what I could call an impromptu music creation camp.

Gathered almost by chance were the guys from Gravity Waves, a collective of guys from Santiago de Cuba who are trying to make their mark in the local music scene with a strong focus on urban and experimental sound. Gathered in a house on the popularly known "Witchcraft Street" were: Alezzv (producer), Mister Jart (singer and rapper), Sabryt (singer), Venxy (producer and singer), and myself, of course (Ole Rimas).

It was a truly productive afternoon while Venxy was recording one of his songs, the rest of us were supporting in the studio. Meanwhile, Sabryt and Mister Jart went to create promotional content for the latter's album (link at the end of the paragraph). Alezzv and Venxy continued working on the recording of the song, and finally, I began transcribing the lyrics for a future collaboration with Mister Jart.

The whole house was taken over by music, a palpable effervescence that pushed us towards creation. Laughter in the midst of the process was not lacking, nor were the advice or just mutual encouragement in an industry as complex and ever-changing as music. By the time night had fallen, we packed up the camp, but convinced of what chance had brought about, it had become an incredible experience that we should repeat more than once.

Campamento creativo (Gravity Waves)

Durante estos días de vacaciones he vivido jornadas muy intensas, rellenas de eventos y presentaciones. Cosas que a la larga forman parte de mi sueño en la música, pero quien conoce sabe que genera mucho estrés. Un poco para huir de esta situación fui a lo que podría llamar un improvisado campamento de creación musical.

Reunidos casi por cosa del azar estaban los chicos de Gravity Waves, un colectivo de chicos de Santiago de Cuba qué está intentando hacerse espacio en la escena musical local con una fuerte apuesta desde lo urbano y la experimentación sonora. Reunidos en una casa en la popularmente conocida como "Calle de la Brujería" estaban: Alezzv(productor) MisterJart (cantante y rapero) Sabryt(cantante) Venxy(productor y cantante) y yo por supuesto(Ole Rimas).

Fue una tarde realmente productiva mientras Venxy grababa uno de sus temas, el resto apoyábamos en el estudio. Al tiempo, Sabryt y MisterJart fueron a crear contenido promocional para el disco de este último (link al final del párrafo). Alezzv y Venxy continuaron trabajando en la grabación del tema y, por último, yo comencé a trascribir la letra de una futura colaboración con MisterJart.

Toda la casa estaba tomada por la música, una efervescencia palpable que nos empujaba a la creación, eso sí, rizas en medio de todo el proceso no faltaron, también los consejos o simplemente los ánimos mutuos en una industria tan compleja y cambiante como lo es la música. Ya cuando la noche había caído, levantamos el campamento, pero convencidos de lo que había propiciado el azar, se había vuelto una experiencia increíble que debíamos repetir más de una vez.
