Registered under the name, Barrence Eugene Carter. He was born in Galveston, Texas, on September 12, 1944. When Barry was 14 years old, this happened. At 15 years old Barry White was imprisoned along with his brother Daryl Lionel White for two months. While there, he was inspired by the song It's Now or Never by Elvis Presley and decided to change his life and his friends by entering the world of music.

Barry White appears in the famous series The Simpsons. 2001 was the year of tragedy. After decades of uninterrupted smoking, White's health began to deteriorate. And since he suffered from chronic hypertension, he was hospitalized in September 2002 for kidney failure while awaiting a transplant.
