Wassup, today I am going to make a jersey drill. So I have been looking through youtube and saw that many producers have made jersey drills. I really don't know what jersey drill were but the sound and kick was crazy so I looked up on google what jersey drills are. I listened to jersey drill beats and found out that the basic patterns of jersey drill is this.
When I made this beat I put the bpm to 140, and the key to F minor. I started with making a piano chord and then duplicated it and made another one reversed, then I took a vocal sample from samplefocus. I wanted to make the vocals more interesting so I made the vocal sound dub and added these effects. I added equalizer & compression, delay, vocal preamp to make it sound dub, then a filter high cut and low cut, i finished it with adding a reverb. Now for the drop i made the vocal crispy. I made a duplicate layer of the original one and added these effects to make it crispy, 2 band eq, delay, compression, low cut & high cut, reverb, brighter, compression and EQ. The difference is that the first one will sound like it's coming from far away and the second one will be very crispy and nice. For finishing intro and getting a drop to bridge I made a 808 glide with a normal structure and then a swing and a sweep so the hi hats drop. Then I made the hi hats and snare and a dark 808 glide. Now was the time for the kick. Making jersey drills is all based on the kick pattern, it seems complicated when I explain it will be easy.
it is one kick on 1 then 2 and on 3 then instead of putting the kick on 4 make it before it, then add one in the end. This is a simple way of making the kick. I made a clock sound in between the kick to make it sound more dancy. This was how I made the beat.
Thanks for reading this blog and hope you guys learned how to make a jersey drill. I recommend you as a producer make jersey drills because I will make more, it's so fun.
