No, this is not a river or lake, even if ducks swim there. It's the leftovers from the spring flooding, a bit late in the year, the last of the water on the meadows in the valley. The water is no more than maybe ten centimetres deep, but these ducks have taken up residence on this "pond". In two or three days the water will be gone, then they will move on and soon make way for cows.
