Expect The Unexpected…….My Actifit Report Card: March 18 2025

My day began with ladies Bible study. It was an odd study as the first 30+ minutes were spent talking about things like wills and durable power of attorney. A strange topic perhaps for a Bible study, but one of the ladies lost her husband 2 weeks ago and it was a lesson for preparing for the unexpected or in some cases what you know is upon you but you still have yet to put things in order.

I left early, just as we were starting to get into scripture as @silvertop and I had a couple errands to run and my afternoon time was limited. We picked up the tires we dropped off yesterday and took them home. Then we headed to Lynden to drop off an Amazon return to the UPS drop point. While there, we partook of a coffee break at Starbucks with a stop afterwards at the grocery for a couple of items. Then home-he to hike and me to deal with my online obligations for the week. When judging an online contest, you can have from a few to many participants. Looks like if the trend continues, it will be many! 😅

Once I had that under control, I hit the stationary bike. I’m mostly caught up for the moment.

Last but not least, a picture that probably will be the all time highlight of my life. It was March of last year. It was stormy-the kind with lots of rain and high winds. We were headed to Home Depot and I wasn’t driving because we were in the truck. Less than a half mile from home in the tree canopy, we spied a Bald Eagle taking refuge in a Big Leaf Maple tree where normally, they would never be. The storm must have driven him to take refuge in the trees. I was in the right place at the right time to capture this photo:

It was picture perfect and an amazing shot. I was speechless at the sheer beauty of him that up close and personal. I will surely never forget!
