🎶🎶 music and I

I have been fighting deep down so hard to face the crowd. Even when I gave bold and fierce looks to people around me, my circle, I couldn't withstand 50people, strange faces etc. I remembered when I read my manifesto as an aspiring head girl, I tried as much as possible to hide my weakness which was fear of the crowd but I wasn't doing it very well. They could see it from my eyes and voice, I was losing my sound but I couldn't help it, my voice was cracking and my legs were trembling 😂😂😂😂.

A couple of months later on I was able to face the students because I get to address them daily as the chapel prefect. That was a very big achievement for me.

The problem wasn't that I was a social misfit, I communicated very well with the faces I knew and dreaded the new ones. Oh Goodness! Is this how I would face the real world? I never bothered to some extent about it, I admitted my fears and never wanted to work on it.

I was part of a social gathering like a choir in church, it was a small one and I was literally hiding there. There were people that sang better than me so I wasn't even stressed to do anything.

After high school I came back to the city of uyo where I stayed with my family relatives. I was forced to join the church local choir😂😂 which I did reluctantly. I didn't last up to a week in the choir when I was given a chance to solo a verse of a song and subsequently teach.😂😂😂 How did it happen? In my subconscious I sang out loud during one of the rehearsals. Well I was given the post of choir coordinator a few weeks later.

Oh well to cut the whole short. Music gave me a stage. Asides from my local church choir, I shared in my previous post on how I got into a bigger choir and everything music around me started expanding. I wrote my first song and performed on a stage of about 200 people. Trust me it wasn't easy, then subsequently other larger crowds.

Well music has inspired me a lot
It has changed a lot of things about me. Should I take music as a career?? Naaaa let me remain with the kids. I love music so much especially from the likes of kirk Franklin, Brooklyn Tabernacle choir, lauryln Hills, etc.

Music has taken away stage fright away from me. I could address a large audience now because of music.

I can lead a group of people because of music. While leading my choir I have gathered skills needed in handling people of all ages in an organization. I have been able to cope up with with elderly people, speak cautiously with them and pass rules without insulting them. Also I have been able to settle dispute between the young and old without being partial.
Decision making too without hurting the feelings of one party or others. Leading a group of these people has taught me selflessness and the ability to sacrifice my comfort to other people.

Music is educative
I can only be better. Especially for the fact that I am a the music coordinator in my local church,

I need to know the rudiments of music and how to sing better in order to lead better and be a better example. As a teacher you need to have a wealthy bank of knowledge and wisdom on the particular field I am about to teach.

It also has a way of taking away depression and negative thoughts away from me. It heals and relieves pain.
Music makes feel good, how about you?
