I woke up this morning, I had little to do but I was very hungry, I needed and was craving melon soup, and the whole area was dried up because people traveled to a different part of the east, fortunately, I had all other foodstuffs but I don't have melon, quickly I recalled that my mom sent me an unpilled melon from the east, so I quickly jumped into pilling it, not quite long I was able to get the quantity that will be okay for the soup I want to make.
While I was removing the melon from its shell, I took my mind back to twenty-five years ago when life was very difficult for us, and my mother was doing all she could to put food for us on the table, melon business was one among the thousands of businesses she tried just to make sure that she took care of us, she will buy this unpilled melon, she will bring it home and share it for me and my siblings to pill, it wasn't something easy but because we knew why we had to do such hard work we always did it with joy.
I also recalled one day my fingers were hurting so bad because of pilling the melon I complained to my mom, and she said "This is one way to train you for the future, money is not everything if you are homely you will do something for yourself to your satisfaction" she also added "when you are hard-working you will always have something to it" tho I was still feeling the pain but her words encouraged me to continue what I was doing.
Look at me today, it's not that I can't afford to buy a melon, but there is no place to get it, and because I already know how to pill the unpilled one, I was able to get the quantity I want to prepare my food.

Just as the lyrics say, mothers will always teach us what will benefit us in the future; a mother's love is unchangeable and lasts forever, no matter the heartache and headache we give them during our younger age.
Mothers are unique, they deserve all the respect we can give them in the world, they deserve our care and concern because the lessons, discipline, and training we got from them will always protect and help us all through our lives.
