So now, Dominik Mysterio wants to fight John Cena and he wants to do it during John Cena’s final WWE run next year. The coming year is really going to be the last year we see John wrestling and maybe this match might happen and John Cena will be able to break his losing streak. That streak I thought would have been broken when John fought Solo Sikoa, but Solo Sikoa beat Cena so badly and afterwards we haven't seen him wrestle again.
Dominik is considered a second-generation WWE star and he says he has history with Cena. The first time these two ever crossed paths was in 2021 when John Cena returned to WWE and had his storyline feud with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline which led to a main event at SummerSlam that year.
Last year, John Cena defeated Dominik in a singles match on SmackDown and maybe that's why Dominik wants a match with Cena so he can beat Cena and prove he is better.
Dominik hopes to get another match with Cena during his retirement tour. He's not the only one though, many WWE stars also want a chance to face the 16-time world champion. I believe that Cena’s final WWE appearances will begin in 2025, and I can't wait for his return amd since WWE and Netflix are now connected, maybe Cena will also make a Netflix appearance as well.
