First of all Riz, this was beautifully written. While reading through it, it felt as if you were in my head and was just writing everything in it out here because this is the exact way I feel.

During the New Year’s Eve, I also was questioning my friends on what’s going to be different about this new year..”It’s just going to be another day, no difference” I said to them.

I hate the hype, I have always hated it. And like you said, if the partying and get togethers is what makes it special, then why don’t they just choose a random date during the year and just go have fun together instead of waiting till the end of the year and making a big fuzz about it.

This was why I also said I won’t be making a new year resolution this year because I wasn’t even done with the old one. Don’t want to make promises to myself that I won’t keep.
