My Version - Pork Sour Soup dish

Let's go ahead and start with the ingredients. As what i mentioned above, there are different ways of preparing this dish and there are also ingredients that you can add if you prefer to.

1/2 kilo pork belly

1/2 kilo pork neck bones or ribs

1 medium sized onion

2 medium sized taro (gabi)
5 - 10 pcs lady finger (okra)

1 bundle of river spinach (kangkong)
2 - 3 tbsp of pork sinigang mix
6 - 8 cups of water
salt and msg to taste

Now that we have all our ingredients, let's go ahead and start preparing our dish.

Boil 6 - 8 cups of water and add the meat and , make sure that temperature is set to "Low" and add the sliced onion.

Once the meat becomes a little bit tender, add the taro and continue with medium heat.

Once the taro has been cooked, depends on your preference on how cooked you want the taro would be, add the lady finger and wait for it to boil again.

You may now add the seasonings, sinigang mix, salt and msg, pepper is optional.

And to complete our dish, add the river spinach and let it cook for 1 - 2 minutes.

There you have it, we now have our Pork Sour Soup dish, perfect for the rainy days. You can adjust the sourness of the dish by adding more sinigang mix.
