Graduation Caps ๐ŸŽ“ made from card paper

in DIYHub โ€ข 3 months ago

Hello guys. Hope you all are well. I am here again after a long time in this community with my beautiful creativity. Today the weather was cool as it was raining lightly and a cold wind was blowing. Three days ago my sister said me to make graduation caps as her graduation function was two days later. Today the weather was nice so I decided to make graduation caps. I made these caps out of card paper and the tassels out of pink thread. I had a lot of fun making these caps. Hope you will like it. Let's start with the procedure.

Material

  • Card Paper
  • Scissor
  • Glue
  • Measuring tape
  • Sketch Pencil
  • Threads
  • Geometry Compass

Procedure

First I collected all the material to make these caps and bought the ones I didn't have from the market. To make these caps I needed three large card papers and I got these three card papers for Rs 200. Also I bought a glue for Rs 50 and thread for Rs 100. After collected things I was very excited to make these caps.

First I made the cap as a sample to see that I could make these caps then I started making the other caps. I made a total of seven caps by adding the cap made as a sample. First I took card paper and cut a piece 9 cm wide and 55 cm long with the help of a measuring tape. Then using the same piece I cut five more pieces. Then I drew a line for two centimeters and made small cuts in it with the help of scissor. You can easily see in the picture how I made it.

Now, with the help of glue, we will glue both sides of it. I didn't expect the glue to hold these both sides together well, but it turned out to be a good glue. After glue the both sides together I bend the cuts inside so that would be attached well the top part of the caps.

Now I cut 6 pieces of card papers 26 cm wide and 26 cm long. Then with the help of a geometry compass and a sketch pencil, I measured between the wide card paper and made a circle so that the bottom of the hat would fit exactly in the middle. I have completed 70 percent of the work but now I want to take an hour rest. Because cutting hard papers with scissor was hurting my hands.

Now it's time to make the tassels. They are very easy to make. You can make it in different ways. I took several threads of the same size and twisted them round and round to make them strong. Then I tied countless tiny threads in an orderly fashion under it. Then put them in the middle of the caps and tie a knot inwards. I was looking at it carefully and I found it very beautiful. It is very easy to make. My sister likes these graduation caps I made. I hope you will like it too. I will be waiting for your feedback.

FINAL LOOK ๐Ÿฅฐ
