How was your holiday season everyone?
Since the online that was organized back on the 26th December, my phone has been buzzing with people asking me how to create Hive account, how to publish and what are there more to Hive. It's almost like a part of my daily routine now, to update on those who didn't get an account, who did, and if there are any difficulties that they might have. It became a part of my daily routine now that I even took some break during the NYE because I wanted to clear my mind and wanted to recharge my energy. But what's even more fun to me is always when a hive merch package arrived at my home.
Our journey is still going on until the 26th of January where there will be offline event with people from creative industry, bloggers and professional journalist. So far as I've calculated, we received $396.43 in funding and with that budget, I couldn't believe that we could even rent venue, created fairly decent merchandise set for about 50-60 attendees. We even properly budget for logistics and invited one more professional speaker to the event. Our merchandise will include totebag, notebook, pen, stickers, calendar and keychain. All these are pretty standard event kit and we got them all for very reasonable prices. I suppose, I'll write more about these detailed cost later but look at these pen!
What even crazy is that with such budget, I could already ordered a portable booth and banners included😄
Since it's January, we're starting to shift our focus from online to offline preparation. I wrote detailed report before but will do so next time. I need to conduct survey based on participants and onsite for their willingness to explore hive further. These can be an indicator if I could continue or organize similar events. My friend joked that we're basically like Event Procurement person. I did most of the work with choosing the right vendor and it was a lot of fail and try which also comes at my expenses. I mean, I don't want it to be a poorly printed or distributed merchandise 😄 image is everything.
For example, I switched the keychain from this design to this. I did this test design a while ago and noticed that it was poorly printed. So, I switched the logo being red and the background being white.
There's a story behind this business card. Out there, there are some cheaper ones like under $1 but I decided to choose something a little expensive so it looks better and glossier. Even now, if you point out your camera to that card, you can scan it!
From our online event so far we have 12 people signing up and joining the contest that was organized. I hope we could still get more after since the submission date is still on-going. I hope whoever attended our online event is going to sign up as well since we got quite a bit of people attending the online event.
During our offline event too, I hope I can get more sign up too and in hope more people will discover Hive 😆Perhaps by the end of these activities, I could really create a poll if I should continue or not. I mean, from this first event, to have a proper event both online and offline, the cost is fairly reasonable. But I'll let the poll also decided if such event is great to be organized again or not.
If you want to see the result of the online meeting, the quality of the participants can be seen through @menulisid account. A lot of the participants are professional writers and journalist. It's still phase 1 of introducing what Hive is and as they get familiarized with the platform, my phase 2 of further explaining is here where I'll explain further what is Hive, HP, HBD and RC. There are also do and don't's. I do this phase later because I think it's better to try and fail than not ever try at all. I am also a bit analytical and detailed oriented so it's why I love graphic like timeline and spreadsheet stuff.
I believe by experiencing through learning people will learn faster and I hope everyone that got introduced to hive will contribute in their unique ways and positively in this ecosystem.
That's my story lately and how I spent the holiday with buzzing phones 😁 wish me luck for the offline events!

I so love the effort, with those merchandise too that you prepare, it can do a lot to some. Maybe more people will get curious on it, especially the keychain. Imagine some strangers saw it in someone's bag and got curious on it. Some will surely get serious and made a research on it on the internet no. I want that keychain! Good job on this, you are doing great thing for Hive ❤️✨✨
😂 I am sure during this process a lot of people saw Hive logo's and such. I also stuck them to some Grab driver's helmet haha. If only shipping overseas aren't expensive I'd happily send you some.
Haha, if ever those people grab that opportunity, it will surely change their life. Just like what it did to us ✨✨😊

The merch stuff looks pretty cool. That pen design is pretty unique, works quite well with the logo
I spent a couple week searching for good vendors and finally found them. It's worth it 😁
Congratulations on the success of your first event Mac, and great work on getting so much out from your budget. Those getting support from Value Plan can learn lot from you instead of buying just a banner for a few hundred bucks
hehe thank you! I am really looking forward for the offline event since that would be more opportunities to connect with people in this industry. I'd reckon that'd help with hive PR down the line if that's ever going to be needed.
😅Banner for a few hundred bucks is tooo expensive but I am not sure how much things cost in another country. I'll share our detailed funding sources and expense after the main event finished since that would be our final accounting and see if we still have some left from what we have gathered so far.
That's awesome. Congrats and wishing you the best on your Hive onboarding. 🥳
Have a great 2025!
Finger crossed the offline event works 😊 Have a great 2025!
My Holiday season was full of memories
That's good!

@ruta.loans
There are a number of interesting things for offline events
What a great adoption job, how good to see great work with decent budgets and achieving that reach now it's time for the task of guiding new members to fall in love with the blockchain.
Lovinghive ❤️
That's definitely the next task! Thanks for checking out :)
Pretty Cool idea and some nice merchandise.
Upvoted and Reblogged!
Yeah! the merchandise here are carefully selected too :) and I hope whoever received it will get curious about Hive more

Hell, Mac.
Have you onboarded this account?
@yohannavalerie
Technically, she's one of our contestant and thanks for the notification. We will be disqualifying the user since we have strict policy against AI use and plagiarism. Thank you for notification and feel free to black list the account.
We also shared the contest technical requirements over our youtube. We'd be happy to translate them all for you. But I included this in my last update.
Ok, no problem. Thanks for explaining.
By the way, https://3speak.tv/ seems to be working now so you may like to try that instead of YouTube :-) @theycallmedan
Do you have the link where we could report such incident. Are they also available for people outside Hive to report?
You can report it here:
https://hivewatchers.com/reports/new
You can mention your username in the report so I know that the report is from you.
Thanks :-)
Thank you :) ! will be looking out if other future entries are found to be against our contest rules. We'll make sure to report it as soon as possible. Also thanks for the 3speak reminder :D ,I know a few weeks ago they were out of service.
