Hello everyone, today I bring you a special post, another race, one of my favorites 😅❤️

La Nocturna 2023, en su novena edición, cuya ultima edición fue en 2021, así que esperé un poco para repetirla, ésta es mi segunda vez en esta carrera tradicional, y les contaré como la pasé.

La Nocturna 2023, in its ninth edition, whose last edition was in 2021, so I waited a bit to repeat it, this is my second time in this traditional race, and I will tell you how I spent it.

Esta carrera muy peculiar que consta de 9 kilómetros entre vegetación y agua, contó con la participación de casi 600 corredores. Se realiza en las áreas naturales del Parque Nacional La Llovizna de Ciudad Guayana en el Estado Bolívar (Venezuela). Este parque cuenta con una extensión de aproximadamente 200 hectáreas conformado por islas, saltos, numerosos caminos de piedras y senderos naturales, zonas boscosas y áreas verdes, donde conviven libremente diversas especies de fauna silvestre.

This very peculiar race, which consists of 9 kilometers between vegetation and water, had the participation of almost 600 runners. It takes place in the natural areas of La Llovizna National Park in Ciudad Guayana, Bolivar State (Venezuela). This park has an area of approximately 200 hectares made up of islands, waterfalls, numerous stone paths and natural trails, wooded areas and green areas, where various species of wildlife live freely.

La peculiaridad de esta carrera, como su nombre "La Nocturna" lo dice, es que se realiza de noche, con la simple ayuda de linternas, tanto de mano como de frente, así como la que usan los mineros 😅

The peculiarity of this race, as its name "La Nocturna" says, is that it takes place at night, with the simple help of flashlights, both hand and headlamps, as used by miners 😅

Para iniciar el cuento desde el inicio del día, al yo vivir en un estado vecino (Anzoátegui), me tocó viajar bien temprano ese día, un sábado de enero, para poder retirar el respectivo kit, ya que la carrera se realizaba el mismo día. Viajé con una amiga y un amigo, ambos integrantes de mi grupo de corredores. De igual manera la movida de running en mi ciudad crece cada día más, y algunas otras personas, tanto de mi grupo como de otros de mi ciudad ejecutaron la misma logística de viaje 👍

To start the story from the beginning of the day, since I live in a neighboring state (Anzoátegui), I had to travel very early that day, a Saturday in January, to pick up the respective kit, since the race was held on the same day. I traveled with a friend and a friend, both members of my running group. In the same way the running movement in my city is growing every day, and some other people, both from my group and others from my city executed the same travel logistics 👍

Luego de retirar el kit y chequear el chip de cronometraje, y de algunas cuantas fotos, dimos varias vueltas en el centro comercial sede del retiro de kit. Almorzamos y nos fuimos a la posada donde ya habíamos reservado con anterioridad, "descansamos" algunas horas previas a la carrera, horas que pasaron demasiado rápido 🙃 y luego a arreglarnos para la carrera 💪

After picking up the kit and checking the timing chip, and a few photos, we did several laps in the shopping center where the kit was picked up. We had lunch and went to the inn where we had already booked in advance, "rested" a few hours before the race, hours that passed too quickly 🙃 and then to get ready for the race 💪

Llegamos a las instalaciones del parque, estacionamos el carro y en el camino desde donde se dejan los carros hasta el punto de encuentro, que fue de aproximadamente 1 kilómetro, pudimos ver varios monitos muy lindos 😍 enamorada 100% de la fauna y la flora del sitio, por supuesto rogando que no me saliera alguna serpiente en el trayecto 😓 correr en sitios naturales siempre tiene otro impacto, tanto físico como psicológico, les recomiendo visitar este parque, pero mas recreativamente... y de día para poder apreciar mejor jajaja 😂

We arrived at the park facilities, parked the car and on the way from where the cars are left to the meeting point, which was about 1 kilometer, we could see several cute monkeys 😍 100% in love with the fauna and flora of the site, of course praying that I did not get a snake on the way 😓 running in natural sites always has another impact, both physically and psychologically, I recommend visiting this park, but more recreationally ... and day to better appreciate hahaha 😂

Una vez que llegamos al lugar, se podían ver varios stand de emprendedores con ventas de comidas, bebidas, snacks, ropa, plantas y variedades de souvenirs. Y por supuesto, el punto de hidratación estratégico en todo el medio 🍺🍺🍺 Y claro que nos tomamos 8541654 fotos para inmortalizar el momento 😍

Once we arrived at the place, you could see several stands of entrepreneurs selling food, drinks, snacks, clothes, plants and varieties of souvenirs. And of course, the strategic hydration point in the middle 🍺🍺🍺🍺 And of course we took 8541654 photos to immortalize the moment 😍

Aquí pueden ver el conocido "Teatro de Piedra", fue el lugar donde se concentraron todos los corredores antes de la salida, y donde posteriormente se realizaría la premiación de los ganadores, tambien realizaron un rato de bailoterapia y un poco de stretching. En otras oportunidades es el escenario de muchos eventos que se realizan en este hermoso parque.

Here you can see the well known "Teatro de Piedra", it was the place where all the runners were concentrated before the start, and where later the awarding of the winners would take place, they also did some dance therapy and stretching. At other times it is the scene of many events that take place in this beautiful park.

En la siguiente foto se aprecia el 1% de la esencia de la carrera, estos caminos de piedra son muy característicos del parque y nos tocó pasar por diferentes de estos aproximadamente 10 veces, se ve muy emocionante en foto, pero en vivo la adrenalina de pasar por ahí es otra cosa, teniendo en cuenta que hay que tener demasiado cuidado de no tropezar en alguno, y siendo drástica, evitar caer y que me lleve el río 🤣🤣 porque lo que ven es pura agua y una corriente muy fuerte. Gracias totales a la gente de Españalzola, un grupo de fotógrafos de la ciudad por esta foto tan genial.

In the following photo you can see 1% of the essence of the race, these stone paths are very characteristic of the park and we had to go through different of these approximately 10 times, it looks very exciting in photo, but live the adrenaline of going through there is another thing, taking into account that you have to be very careful not to stumble on any, and being drastic, avoid falling and being carried away by the river 🤣🤣 because what you see is pure water and a very strong current. Les cuento que negligentemente no chequeé bien las pilas de la linterna que usé en la carrera y a mitad de camino perdió power, lo que hizo que fuera el doble de difícil el recorrido. Me ayudé con la iluminación de otros corredores que iban cerca, si, complicado, considerando que las superficies eran diferentes y muchas se prestaban para doblarse un tobillo muy facilmente, incluyendo una parte donde me metí en un rio hasta la rodilla y no veía el fondo 😬 pero lo logré, me ayudé de mi experiencia pasada (aunque hubieron muchas variaciones en la ruta) y logré llegar a la meta. Luego de dar casi todo mi potencial, y de pasar el arco de llegada me sentí feliiiizzzzzzz, otra medalla que me llevaría a casa para mi colección. Esperé un poco que bajaran las pulsaciones y que llegaran mis conocidos a la meta también.

I negligently did not check the batteries of the flashlight I used in the race and halfway through the race it lost power, which made the course twice as difficult. I helped myself with the lighting of other runners who were close, yes, complicated, considering that the surfaces were different and many lent themselves to bend an ankle very easily, including a part where I got into a river up to the knee and could not see the bottom 😬 but I made it, I helped myself with my past experience (although there were many variations in the route) and managed to reach the finish line. After giving almost all my potential, and passing the finish arch I felt very very happy, another medal to take home for my collection. I waited a bit for my heart rate to drop and for my acquaintances to arrive to the finish line as well.

La premiación estuvo especial, aunque yo no lo logré en esta oportunidad, me disfruto los podios de los demás con la misma emoción porque lo he vivido y es algo demasiado genial ✨ Luego de todo esto hubo una "eco-rumba", con unos cantantes y djs, aprovechando de celebrar un año mas de Puroeventos, la empresa organizadora de ésta y muchas carreras nacionales mas, y por supuesto nos unimos a la celebración con una merecida espumosa 😉

The awards ceremony was special, although I did not make it this time, I enjoy the podiums of others with the same emotion because I have lived it and it is something too cool ✨ After all this there was an "eco-rumba", with some singers and DJs, taking the opportunity to celebrate another year of Puroeventos, the organizer of this and many other national races, and of course we joined the celebration with a deserved sparkling 😉.

Después de par de horas nos fuimos a cenar, por supuesto las horas pasan rápido cuando eres feliz. Luego de comer caímos redondos a dormir para regresar al día siguiente a El Tigre, que por cierto adjunto foto de la mejor tizana que he probado en mi vida, y también los mejores bollos de chicharrón pero de eso si les debo la foto 🤤 queda después del peaje saliendo de Puerto Ordaz (momento publicitario 🤣)

After a couple of hours we went to dinner, of course the hours go by fast when you are happy. After eating we went to sleep to return the next day to El Tigre, which by the way I attach a photo of the best tizana I've ever tasted in my life, and also the best chicharron buns but I owe you the photo 🤤 it is after the toll leaving Puerto Ordaz (advertising moment 🤣)
