Nostalgia. I had a chance to visit my high school alma mater recently to attend my sibling's school activity. I must say, so much has change not just to me but also our campus. Walls have been repainted, unused rooms now have designated purpose, and not to mention, the comfort rooms are now clean and renovated.

Upon entering our campus you will see a huge statue of Confucius, or Lao Tsu in Chinese. Our school has been practicing the teachings of confucianism. We have a Chinese language class that requires us to memorize and understand a whole book of this teaching. I still remember the title of the book, "Di Zi Gui" or in english Guid To A Happy Life, which teaches us about good morals and on how to be a good child to our parents.

This used to be a debate corner during our time. Every English month, our English class conducts a debate battle between different grade levels. I was never part of the debaters in high school but sometimes I wonder in amazement on how some of my classmates have the capacity to think quick and defend their dispositions. My brother is part of their respective debate team and so i asked him. "You must first believe in your side, whether you're in the affirmative or negative side, of the proposition. Then from there, just say what's in your heart."

Upstairs is where the high school classrooms are located. Nothing much changed, except that walls are newly repainted to royal blue and white, whereas before, it was pure sky blue.

To the left is the clinic while to the right is the canteen. I heard the food isn't so good as much as before, though.

These are some of the awards our school received all through out the years, mostly from interschool basketball games. I remember we used to have many varsity classmates that represents our school.

Its been almost 10 years and so much have changed already. I have evolved and changed for the past years, as we all should. To my younger self, I want to say thank you for trying so hard.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

Love, Jane
