Hello there my dear hivers!!!! How are you all doing? I hope you're all doing great. It's me again iamlovelykate. For today's blog, I am excited to share how we explore the BOGO MUSEUM. It was located in the Northern part of cebu, particularly at *Bogo Public Library and Museum.
Our main purpose is to come to the library just to study because we have an upcoming quiz , but then we saw this museum that caught our attention. It was just beside the library, We decided to get inside and see those things inside the museum.
Before entering, you must pay 10 pesos for the entrance. And write your name on the logbook for documentary purposes. The person who's in charge of the library is the same one who will assist you when you enter the museum.
Upon entering the library we are amazed by the old items inside. Just like this typewriter it has changed so much compared to now.
There are cameras that are so old, the ones they used before by looking at these I can describe how really heavy it is.
There are a lot of paintings that are displayed and hanged on the wall. I found it fascinating looking at these paintings, as it was talking to me.
These paintings were inspired by their plaza, and they look so real.
**Photographs and memories **
There are picture frames of the people from the past, their houses, and the church. It was amazing to see how they hung these photographs and memories here, showing that they are a part of the history that shaped who we are today.
There are musical records that are so old, and i can see how our things can evolve.
This mini organ is an old-fashioned thing, and I was curious about how it’s used.
Native crafts
In these native crafts, there were different native crafts that were displayed on here, the crude stone mills, wooden plates, wooden mortars that were made in the 80's . They carved them on they're bare hands.
This section was the natural science as it was full of different shells, and it was donated with different people also it was found on different barangays here on bogo.
The collections of *stamp paper bills and coins.
One of the main attractions displayed in the museum is the statue of the famous Filipino boxer Gabriel "Flash" Elorde, who was a resident of Bogo and a purely Bogohanon. I can see how proud they are by having this section full of those news articles, a statue, and items he used in boxing on display.
***A costume of Maria Clara ***
This dress displayed in the museum is incredibly well-preserved, as if it has never been used. It is heavily embroidered with Tapis and Panuelo and decorated with colorful sequins.
*An antique parador with a beloved mirror.
As I was seeing these things inside this library I felt a deep connection to Bogo’s history and culture. Every item had a story about the past and how people used to live.
It made me appreciate more on our technologies now how much things have changed in terms of technology and life, but also reminded me how important it is to keep our traditions alive.
I left the museum feeling amazed and inspired. I’m glad that places like this museum exist to help us remember the past. If you’re ever in Bogo, don’t miss the chance to visit the library and museum. It’s a great place to learn about history.
That's all for today's blog my lovely hivers! I hope you like my blog, thanks for sticking till the end of my blog. Godbless
I've been there maybe once or twice and the art there are truly mesmerizing
Elorde!
