New Year, New Beginnings: How My Family Welcomed 2025 °🥂⋆.ೃ🍾࿔*:･

Sunshine and smiles Hivers! I'm back again for another's new blog! This blog will tackle how my family prepare for New Year's Eve. Let's get started!

This New Year's Eve felt different compared to my past celebrations since it will just be the three of us. That's right! My mother, my brother, and I are the only ones in the house to celebrate the New Year. My sister couldn’t make it home because she has work and won't be able to come home until after the celebration.

Before New Year's Eve, my mother and I went to the city to buy everything needed for the upcoming event. This was quite tiring and stressful due to the large crowds also shopping at that time.

At midnight, I prepared the Chicken Cordon Bleu so it would be easy for me to cook it the next day. I also considered making the mango graham, but when I glanced at the clock, it was already 2am, and I still needed to chill the all-purpose cream for 4 hours.

Instead of making the mango graham, I just completed my DIY Happy New Year tarpaulin. I was quite worn out and fatigued during that time. I felt the urge to sleep, yet I needed to complete this DIY tarpaulin since I have a packed schedule for tomorrow.

While creating this tarpaulin, I was also enjoying the song "Mama Mia" by ABBA. I’m fond of this song as it evokes memories of the musical film "Mama Mia." I finished this DIY tarpaulin by 5 AM.

I got out of bed at 2 PM and began cooking at 4 PM. First, I placed the all-purpose cream in the freezer since I'm going to prepare mango graham. I also boiled the pasta because I'm making carbonara. At this time, I also diced some onions, garlic, and other ingredients for the dishes I plan to prepare for New Year's Eve.

I finished making the carbonara, I prepare the mango graham. As I worked on the mango graham, I watched "Squid Game" on my tablet, so I could enjoy both activities at the same time. This is how I keep myself entertained and reduce stress. I often watch movies while eating or completing tasks, and I think this was considered a bad habit and unethical, lol. I ended up making seven tubs, which was quite a lot, but I didn't mind. After I finished with the mango graham, I assisted my mother in hanging the DIY tarpaulin on the wall since she was going to arrange the tables and the dishes.

This is Yammy, my silly tabby cat. She kept pestering me while I was cooking, I think she was eager for her chicken to be cooked because she was hungry, lol.

I prepared the sauce for the "eskabetchi" and fried the Chicken Cordon Bleu. At that point, I was completely worn out because there was so much to get ready before the New Years Eve. Afterward, I asked my brother to cook the ham since I was truly fatigued and still had to transfer those dishes into the glass containers that my mother had set up on the table.

After finishing all the cooking, I assist my mother in preparing a prosperity bowl. The Prosperity Bowl represents hope and abundance in the good things that lie ahead. The Prosperity Bowl serves as a way to boost wealth, positive energy, and gather good fortune for the upcoming year. Our family has a tradition of creating a prosperity bowl every New Year's Eve, as it gives more abundance and positive energy for the family. Those Stuffs placed in the prosperity bowl has different meanings.

An hour before New Year's Eve, I began assembling a charcuterie board, which I think it's far from the traditional charcuterie board because mine doesn't have meats and dairy. It's simply made up of fruits and sweets, so I think it's more of a glazing board.

Here's my dog, Bambi. I kept her inside the house because she was frightened by the fireworks and loud bangs from the firecrackers. I played with her to help keep her distracted from the fireworks.

We completed all our preparations and chose to take a family picture, even though we weren't complete. We also include our pets in the photos since they are part of the family.

At last, the New Year has started. I enjoyed watching the spectacular fireworks nearby my home. The fireworks are really beautiful to see. My mother is also hopping around and shaking her piggy bank, which is a tradition we uphold every New Year—a symbol of prosperity and the promise of more money ahead.

Bambi is still hiding under the chair, frightened by the loud noises outside, so I gave her some treats to help her relax and stay distracted.

This is the end of my blog of how we celebrated New Year's Eve with my family. The New Year represents a chance for fresh start and new possibilities comes ahead, New Year — New Beginnings. I hope that 2025 brings my family a prosperous year filled with abundance every day. And maybe, this year will bring us good fortune.
