Hello Hivers 😊 Another day for a new blog! I hope everyone has a great day 😊
Let me share with you about our advanced Teacher's Day celebration.
It was a great day with a fine weather. I knew that it was another productive day with my students.
World Teachers’ Day falls on October 5th. It's a day where special programs and activities are prepared for the teachers. It's a day when students and parents prepare a tribute or appreciation to the teacher. It's a way of honoring and appreciating the contributions of teachers and educators worldwide.
It's a day when teachers are recognized for their never-ending vital role in shaping the future of learners by imparting knowledge and skills to the students.
Going back, I wasn't expecting that my grade six students would prepare a dedication and appreciation wall for me as their teacher. They expressed and wrote their short but touching messages that could give me satisfaction as a teacher that they learned from me.
They mounted it on the wall outside our room. I just appreciated all the efforts and heartfelt messages that I wasn't expecting from them. Hehehehe!
Thus, my heart also jumped with gratitude when my classroom PTA (which means Parent-Teacher Association) president reached out and extended their blessings to my learners.
They bought an Angel's Burger paired up with fruit juice. My students felt so elated and thankful.
From the two pieces of cute lollipops to the bouquet of Goya chocolates, everything was valued. With all honesty, it gave me a sense of importance that they recognized my hard work and dedication in teaching them.
Teachers Day celebration is not just about teachers’ celebration but also a merriment to those students whom we see striving hard to learn every day to grow and be equipped with knowledge.
However, as a teacher, I also remind my students that what matters the most is not the material things given to you all but your courage and determination to succeed. Going here to school every day, learning and exploring new things, and growing to be a better person. Most importantly, their survival rate must be tough enough to graduate in grade six and start another page in their lives.
Indeed, the teacher's role extends beyond the four walls of the school. I'm beyond grateful to all the teachers who became part of my life and have a big influence on who I am right now. The way they taught us before became a compass of how I teach my students now.
In essence, the education that we acquire from our teachers is the bedrock of personal development and cultural progress, influencing various aspects of our lives, contributing to the betterment of the broader society, and empowering individuals to understand the world.
