The scorching hot days continue

Another scorching day in Croatia.
In my town, even now at 22:35 in the evening, it's 31 degrees and there's no wind at all. It's humid and hard to breathe.
People are sitting everywhere with large bottles of water next to them, and I hardly see any elderly people walking because it's probably too hot for them.
During the day, if a thermometer is left in the sun for just an hour, the temperature rises to a high of 47 degrees.

The sea temperature, as reported by many portals, has never been higher in recorded history, reaching a high of 29.8 degrees, and they say it will be even warmer tomorrow, over 30 degrees.
I confirmed this myself today when I went for a swim at 7 in the evening to cool down a bit.
I felt no difference being in the sea; it was like being in a warm bath.
It's really too hot.
As people here say, you go in normal and come out not wet but sweaty from the sea.
I don't know what's happening with the atmosphere and the Earth, but this definitely isn't good.
Each year is getting hotter and hotter, and the last two winters have been very mild. There is no snow even in the coldest parts of Croatia, and here, instead of using 10 meters of firewood for winter heating, I now have at least half left.

Next to the hut where I work, due to frequent power outages, they installed a large generator that's as big as the hut I'm in and very noisy, but at least we have electricity all day.
The only thing is, I have to monitor the fuel level at night, and they've also placed 8 fire extinguishers around in case something catches fire so I can put it out immediately. It's really too hot to be within 5 meters of it because it blows out a lot of hot air.
I hope I never have to intervene because it's not pleasant when fuel and oil catch fire and you have to extinguish it.
There's always a bit of fear.

The only ugly thing is that they placed it right next to the armchairs where people used to sit during the day, have a coffee or a cold drink, and relax and chat. Now I doubt anyone will be there because you can't be near the generator while it's running, and because of the excessive heat it emits, I doubt anyone will sit near it.

I bought myself 3 bottles of water, each 1.5 liters, so a total of 4.5 liters of water, and put them in the fridge to always have cold water to drink since I almost drink all of it by morning.
You never know when someone else who walks around here might feel unwell, so it's always good to have extra to help someone in need.

Anyway, I'm off to work this night shift and hope everything goes smoothly as it has so far.
