Comprando los ingredientes para las hallacas [Esp/Eng]

Saludos queridos amigos, feliz y bendecido día tengan todos ustedes, ya en la cuenta regresiva para nochebuena, la verdad este es un día que añoro todo el año, pues en este día nos reunimos todas la familia en casa de mis padres primero para la elaboración de la hallaca y el pan de jamón y luego por la noche para sentarnos a la mesa para compartir nuestra cena navideña. Me encanta ver esa mesa larga con cada año más asientos, y el pensar en este día me llena mucho de alegría y emoción.

Greetings dear friends, happy and blessed day to all of you, already in the countdown to Christmas Eve, the truth is this is a day that I miss all year, because on this day we gather all the family at my parents' house first for the preparation of the hallaca and ham bread and then at night to sit at the table to share our Christmas dinner.
I love to see that long table with each year more seats, and the thought of this day fills me with joy and excitement.

Bueno ya hace unos días atrás habíamos aprovechado de comprar la carne de cochino fresca, pues por acá por la casa logramos apartar un pernil de 7 kilos y lo guardamos para ya ir adelantando en cuanto a los materiales, pero ya está última semana mi madre y yo hemos salido a realizar algunas otras compras pues la preocupación de la hallaca principalmente del guiso lleva sus ingredientes especiales que deben ser seleccionados. Por ejemplo mi mamá acostumbra a preparar y sazonar la carne un día antes, para el guiso con una vino, alcaparras, aceitunas, pasas, papá, zanahoria, pimentón, ají, ajo, cebolla, perejil, y mucho más ya que ellas tienen su toque especial.

Well a few days ago we had already taken the opportunity to buy fresh pork, because here in the house we managed to set aside a 7 kilos pork leg and kept it to go ahead in terms of materials, but this last week my mother and I have gone out to make some other purchases because the concern of the hallaca mainly stew takes its special ingredients that must be selected.
For example my mom is used to prepare and season the meat a day before, for the stew with a wine, capers, olives, raisins, dad, carrots, paprika, chili, garlic, onion, parsley, and much more as they have their special touch.

Así que este día aprovechas de comprar y adelantar la compra de aceitunas , pasas , alcaparras y algunas hortalizas que podemos refrigerar y mantener para este día, sin embargo no quisimos comprar aliños pues no estaban muy frescos y además era para usar en varios días. Otros años no lo he hecho pero este año espero estar pendiente de la preparación del guiso para ir aprendiendo pues esta es una tradición familiar, aunque creo que el sabor que le da mi mamá no podré alcanzarlo.

So this day you take the opportunity to buy and advance the purchase of olives, raisins, capers and some vegetables that we can refrigerate and keep for this day, however we did not want to buy dressings because they were not very fresh and also was to use in several days.
Other years I have not done it but this year I hope to be aware of the preparation of the stew to be learning as this is a family tradition, although I think the flavor that my mom gives it I will not be able to reach it.

Bueno por otro lado también aproveche está salida para adquirir algunos insumos para el hogar. El poder salir de compras con mi madre para adquirir los ingredientes de la hallaca y preparativos para la cena de navidad es algo que me llena de mucho entusiasmo el poder ser la compañera de mi madre en todos estos preparativos.

Well on the other hand I also took advantage of this outing to buy some supplies for the home.
Being able to go shopping with my mother to buy the ingredients for the hallaca and preparations for Christmas dinner is something that fills me with great enthusiasm to be my mother's companion in all these preparations.
