RE: Meet My Tiny Whoop- Big Fun In A Small Drone

in Drone2 days ago

Yep, ELRS can be a nightmare to pair, though it's gotten easier. I do like that once it has my binding phrase then all my controllers and drones just work. I'm hearing good things about the Air75. My (and Miko's) 75mm of choice is the EMax Tinyhawk III. However I have some mobulas I fly in 65mm. I love tinywhoops because they can fly indoors and around people so it doesn't matter the weather.

Nice. I found one I want now that is an 85mm with a DJI O3 unit on it, lol. I do love my digital vs the analog, lol.

Would you consider a Neo with FPV3 controller?
Admittedly it doesn't fly as well as my other 85mm+ drones, but for all the other features and the price of replacing the drone alone...
Downside: almost no user repairs.

Na, I have my one DJI drone. I like being able to do my own repairs and such if I break it, lol. And another reason is I don't want another one with remote ID or GPS, lol. I like return to home and such, but I don't like the FAA telling me where I can and can't fly, lol.

I have a 3.5 inch basher I am working on that I am going to use the SBUS in the DJI O3 air unit to pair with my DJI Controller 2 and use it for that one. If I do a digital tinywhoop build, then I will probably do the same kind of thing.
