Greetings, friends of Hive, and especially to this urban art community. Incredible how time goes by; it had been some time without posting, and after a break, and after compiling several urban works that I will soon share with you, today I am back to post a spectacular mural. It is a series of murals located in the same space. I chose only one, and the most significant one. I really like murals that project human nature, feminine nature, so this one locates my deepest feelings, so I think I got a jewel. I like to show pieces that connect with my life, my family, my roots, so I hope you enjoy this little work.

These works are located on the columns of a great work, such as the San Antonio subway station, in downtown Medellin, Colombia. The urban artist Alex Senna, of Brazilian nationality, made this spectacular work. It was created during the month of February of this year, during the 1st Urban Art Festival in Medellin, and had the participation of national and international artists. This work is just one of the many that are exposed in the city, and little by little I will show you. The city is filled with urban art in every corner. This work is made in columns with an approximate height of more than 20 meters. They are really very colorful and are located in a strategic place so that all passersby can observe them. I captured many things in this work, it is what I always try to communicate. They are not only graffiti; there is always an artistic and undoubtedly anthropological work, and our work as street art lovers is to show it in the best way possible to continue supporting it.

This artist is not a beginner, so take a look at his account, he is someone who has had his hands stained with paint for quite some time and his work speaks for itself, he is a professional, it is no coincidence that his work is of that color, he is color blind so this gives a special mark to all his works, if you can detail it also does not become a purely cartoon or comic work, I think he makes a very particular combination, he works very well the limits between several artistic and street techniques, his large and elongated works speak for themselves, he wants to be seen, and the most curious thing, he wants us to see ourselves, he talks about the common people, about the everyday life and saves that innocent aspect, I believe that the artist is a great humanist, and to see his works is to enter into what we are really simple and common human beings, he not only works with graffiti, he makes other exhibitions such as sculptures, he is of international stature, I like to talk about him, to communicate them to you excites me, it is not in vain that these works are located in these high columns, and those characters are not casual, Colombia is reflected there to a great extent, there is the young girl with dreams to fulfill, there is the boy wandering the streets, there is the indigenous woman who lives in the streets of Medellin selling her handicrafts, and there is the man with the hat, a traditional representation of the mountain man, I think Alex Senna was so accurate.

I chose this work for many personal reasons, of the 4 works this one filled my heart, and I think it is suitable to compete, Colombia has more than 90 indigenous peoples, if the artist included this image in his repertoire, is because he is aware of the ethnic diversity that exists in the country and that for me is important, it elevates the work and its social significance, this indigenous woman, represents all the native mothers who are still on the streets of Medellin selling crafts, and I love how it reflects it, She is there with her head up showing dignity, strength and work, between her legs is her daughter always depending on her and with a shy attitude like most of the indigenous children in the city, her lower part, her feet show that she has the city there on her shoulders, she is very well planted to move forward, for me a work I hope it stays long in that column, and art sometimes is not a coincidence, or just an impulse of someone who just wants to paint walls, art is certainly intentional. Thank you very much for reading my work, for supporting me and above all for believing in street art.
