I somewhat appreciate it. Parts of history still kept around and in use. While it can be depressing for living to some degree, it keeps these locations unique. So much of the world these days is starting to look identical. The same apartment development and architecture in housing. Same skyscraper designs. Big franchise corporations like McDonald's and KFC everywhere.

I think I prefer the rustic look of urban decay from an era long gone than travelling somewhere and having it feel like home.

I think these places would still look incredible had they had the care put into them. Some locations still do, it's just rarely this side of thing.
