Why does God take the lives of good people sooner than those evil

Bible reading: Isaiah 57:1

We are bound to encounter evil in this world. We can't escape it as long as we are inhabitants of the earth. Be it a good or a bad person, evil is bound to befall them both. Every day of our lives, there is a possibility of evil occurring even when we least expect it.

Our scripture is found in Isaiah 57:1. It says:

The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

The righteous dying is nothing new or strange. They are also bound by the constraints of death. Other forms of evil can affect us humans. We live in an evil world in general. We can't be able to predict when an evil event might occur or the manner in which it may come. There are men with wicked hearts.

The world was originally void of evil because when God completed His word in creating the world, He pronounced His creation to be good. This means that it was absent from anything bad, neither evil. Nothing that God created was evil, because evil can't be found in God.

But over time, things began to change as evil entered the world. Currently, we are living in perilous times. The Bible made it known to us that such a time as this will come. Strange things happen on a daily basis that are now regarded as usual.

People die at anytime, both the bad and the good ones. We often regard the deaths of good people at young ages as untimely. Through brother Eli's teaching, I've come to understand that no death is actually untimely.

Because someone died at a young age doesn't make it an untimely death. All deaths that occurred on this earth are timely. We don't judge the timeliness of one's death by the number of years. Everybody was given their time frame when they were sent down to earth.

We must know that no man can die without the awareness and permission of the one who gave us life. Nobody has the power. Whenever God requests for us, we have no power to disagree. And when it's not yet our time, nothing can be able to take away lives.

That's the reason why you see some people that encounter certain situations that are capable of taking their lives, yet they make it out of it alive. Some of these situations took the lives of many but weren't able to do so to them. This is because it is not yet their time.

However, we also see some people that encounter minor issues, and it leads to their deaths. Some of these things are common things that happen to people regularly, and nothing serious happens to them. But other people died when the same thing happened to them, and they died. This is because it was their time.

When we see good or righteous people die, we should not see it as an unfair act. In the scripture above, we learn that why God often allows such to happen is to actually rescue them from a greater evil that is to befall them. The death of the righteous can actually be considered an act of mercy from God if God were to open our eyes.

Sort:

Sometimes, God takes away the righteous to deliver him from evil days

When God allows the righteous to die, he could do that to take them from the evil that is coming
