What pleases God the most? (Part 2 of 2) | The Old Path

Bible scriptures: Hebrews 13:15-16, 2 Corinthians 9.7, Ephesians 6:1, Timothy 2:1-2

In the Bible, we come across various attributes that God derives pleasure from. Let's look into Hebrews 13:15-16.

Heb.13.15 - By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Heb.13.16 - But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

We are encouraged in this verse to cultivate the habit of giving praise to God. In this passage, I learned from brother Eli that in the Greek Bible, communicate means to share. God admonishes us to not relent in sharing as we carry out good works. He tells us here that He is pleased by these acts.

Another area in which God is pleased is found in the book of 2 Corinthians 9:7.

2Cor.9.7 - Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Giving to God is a good act. However, where God is really pleased is when we give with all willingness. A heart that conceives grudges while giving is not pleasing to God. The state of our heart while we give to God is of great importance to Him.

God is also pleased when we, as children, do not fail to obey our parents (Ephesians 6:1). God is highly pleased when children regard their parents. It proves that they know His words and keep them close to their hearts.

Another thing that pleases God is located in Timothy 2:1-2. It tells us to include our leaders in prayers. Some of us may find ourselves in countries where the state of the nation is crippled, and we end up hating and blaming the leaders for it. God admonishes us to pray for them.

There are many other things that please God. However, when it comes to what pleases Him the most, nothing pleases God more than the person when through out his lifetime observed His commandments in entirety, and executed actions that glorified Him.

That person is none other than the Lord Jesus. Through out the history of the Bible, there was no one else that found pleasure the most in the sight of God than Him. Through out the history of prophets, kings, apostles, and every other person that walked with God, no one knew the heart of God other than His son Jesus.

I think one of the solid things that constantly please God is when we live in faith

We must always pay attention to our lifestyle that it pleases God
