Are we financially responsible to other people?| The Old path

One of the virtues of a Christian has to do with selflessness. It is okay to look out and care for ourselves, but at the same time it should not always be only about us. Because we work and earn does not prevents us from helping other people who are in need. It's not by our own making that we are able to secure a means of living and have the strength to work, it is simply a privilege given unto us by God.

A lot of people did all they could but were not privileged to acquire a means of living. While some people are not physically capable due to condition or the other to acquire certain jobs. Everything we are able to do is by the grace of God and so we should endeavor to reach out to others which is one of the reasons why God placed us in that position we found ourselves in.

Galatians 6:2 - Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

We should take other people's problems as if it were our own. Extending help to our family is good but it should not end just there. We should look out for people around us we can extend this help to likewise. And if they should approach us we should not deny them of our help.

Whatever we have was given to us by God no matter how we look at it, so we should not boast of anything or think that we acquired it by our own ability. When we give to others we are attracting blessings to ourselves because we are told in the Acts 20:25 that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
