The source of man's desire is God not man, God is the originator of good deeds. Having a partner, having children, and carrying out our parenting responsibilities, such as ensuring that our children acquire a good education, find wonderful careers, and get married these are all natural desires of man. Our greatest responsibility in this life is to seek and serve God. We are taught nowadays to orient our emotions toward things above, because things above are everlasting, whilst worldly riches are transient fleeting. Because we can't serve both God and the world at the same time, we must make a choice. We have the option to choose, therefore if you want to live, choose life. Always keep in mind that our greatest asset is our hearts. The best thing we can do for ourselves is to let God work in our lives. A story was given to us about a farmer who went out to sow good seeds on his land and that some of these good seeds landed on rocky ground, some fell by the side of the road, some fell among thorns, and some fell on fertile ground.
From this parable, we may assume that our hearts are where the seeds fell; some people have the rocky ground heart, others have the wayside heart, yet others have the thorny heart, and still others have the good heart where the word will grow and bring fruit when it is planted.
Important factors: Because the wayside heart could not hold on to the message of God for long, the adversary came and snatched the word that was sown in them. Brothers and sisters, we must always listen to the word and, more importantly, we must not allow the devil to steal it from us.
A rocky heart is one that has heard the word but has given in to temptations, letting go of the words and failing to hang on to them since they landed on stony ground and were unable to take root.
The type of heart that hears the word with zeal is one formed like the seeds that fell among the thorns
They can't hold on to it when things get tough, and the message is choked by the thorns.
Finally, individuals who were born into good and rich soil or ground have a heart that hears, receives, and keeps God's word, refusing to let the devil steal it. As a result of their receiving and sustaining the seed, it grew up and produced fruit in their lives.
Formal conviction.
I gained deeper understanding on how to use God's message effectively while avoiding allowing the enemy to seize it. The sower's narrative demonstrates or will demonstrate our place among the four varieties of hearts. The devil is the one who pulls the seed away from our hearts, and the seed is the coming message of God.
What is the study's influence on us:
It made such an influence on me that I'm determined not to let the adversaries steal the seed of God's word that was sown in me, because if we use it wisely, it will have a huge impact on our lives.
Thank you very much.
We are inviting you to join the MCGI Cares (Hive) community that study the words of God and also earn some reward by making our reactions on it. We can check this link https://peakd.com/c/hive-182074/trending
Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.
MCGI Cares (Hive) community's main mission is to share the words of God, not the Hive upvotes. If we get upvotes, please treat it as just a bonus. Do not focus mainly on material things as the bible is teaching us not to look at things seen but rather focus our eyes on things not seen.
II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
