I went to two waterfalls a few weeks ago, and had an awesome time!
I was at work and got a message from a friend who asked me if I wanted to visit some waterfalls within the Otway National Park the next day and of course I jumped at the chance!
We firstly visited Horseshoe Falls, which was a 10km hike (5km each way including the descent through the bush) to a secluded waterfall that is rarely visited.
It is a beautiful waterfall, but with so many falls within the otways (roughly 800) I probably won't return and hence I took as many unique images as possible while there!
This is practically the first view of the fall you see when you arrive, and I really tried to use the ferns as a natural frame for most of these.
I though this fern in the water made for a bit of a unique foreground :)
This shot kind of shows what the waterfall looks like from the 'cave' seen in the other shots.
I really like this shot, and the one below as they are super unique waterfall images in my eyes.
These two images are taken barely a metre away from each other and have such different vibes!
Once we got some photos, we made the climb out, and hiked back to the ute so we could head to our next stop.
Wymbooliel falls was not quite as big of a hike, with about 2.5kms walking each way but was a stunning waterfall.
Both falls we visited were well and truly off track and you would definitely not attempt without a stand along gps such as a garmin.
This was my favourite of the two comps posted here. I'm curious which one you prefer?
The 14-24 came in handy here, with not much room to move around and find a composition here!
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy my pictures! In total we walked 15km and I was fairly sore the next day haha
Beautiful photos. There are no such nice waterfalls in my area. I regret 😞
Thank you. It seems that there are some beautiful spots where you’re from looking at some of your posts :)
