Tortilla finger food
Enjoy a crispy tasty tortilla with cooked fresh green beans for dinner.
Normal serving slices.
Hello friends, food lovers, and community. Today, I used some leftover cooked potatoes from yesterday and 3 tortillas. I also used some other vegetables that need to be finished before I get new ones tomorrow. After trying two different ways of eating the tortillas, I was thinking of creating something new and attractive that looks delicious and that everyone will enjoy. As party food, appetizer, or dinner. or children's lunch box.
6 cooked potatoes
1 spring onion
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup soya chunks
1/2 red paprika
4-5 sprigs of coriander
3 garlic cloves
3 cm ginger
1 green chili
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric
2 tsp gram flour/chickpea flour
1/4 cup oil
2 tsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp tomato sauce
3 tortillas
Grate the potatoes.
in a vegetable chopper mix garlic, chopped paprika, chopped spring onion, ginger, and chili.
Put the minced mix of the above ingredients in with the grated potatoes.
Make a mince of soaked soya chunks.
Put this soya in the potato mixture.
Add salt garam masala, and turmeric.
Add breadcrumbs.
Add 2 tbsp besan/chickpea flour.
Add chopped coriander.
Mix everything together well.
Add 1 tbsp oil to it.
Mix it into the dough if needed add 1 or 2 tsp. water My potatoes were dried out so I used 2 tsp water. keep aside.
Take 1 piece of tortilla and brush 1 tsp oil on it.
Use 2 tsp tomato ketchup and spread it on the tortilla.
Take sufficient potato mixture and layer it on the tortilla pressing evenly flat using your hand.
It looks like this.
Warm a skillet or non-stick pan and sprinkle some oil on it.
Carefully lift the tortilla in the palm of your hand.
flip the tortilla into the pan the dry side up. Cook it on medium heat for around 3-4 minutes.
Flip it carefully if the mixture is well done they should not break easily. We can see the nice color and texture of that.
Sprinkle 1 tsp oil on that.
Flip again one more time to get a nice crispy texture.
Little more oil to sprinkle.
slice, garnish and serve.
Dinner plate.
use of cookie cutter.
And ready to serve. use your imagination how to serve it. I showed 3 different ways, maybe try with salsa or ketchup, I used date chutney.
