When I was in college and unmarried, I had a small but very fun business to do. In 2013 to 2016, I had a women's clothing business that I sold online through social media or direct selling to my friends. Just like stories about other businesses, I started from just selling clothes by dropshipping, and it continued to get crowded so that I had the opportunity to buy the goods directly from the supplier.
During the few months I made the business, I finally had enough capital to go to Thailand to get better prices and optimal profits. I have benefited in my three years of running this business. During the year, I can go three or four times to Pratunam, Bangkok – Thailand to shop for clothes, and I also get the benefit of being able to vacation abroad at the same time.
Unfortunately, although I often go to Thailand. I did not have time to go to tourist attractions or to the beach. I only had a few days there, I usually use it for shopping, packing and taking care of orders. Even if I want to travel, I can only do culinary tours or look for street food in Bangkok. Yup, this is also very interesting because I can taste the delicious street food in Bangkok.
I got a lot of profit from that business. I can get clothes, and at night I look for culinary at street food market that is cheap and delicious. Unfortunately, in the middle of 2016 there was a change in the regulation rules regarding imported goods at the immigration of my country and made me decide not to continue my business anymore. Finally, I never go to Bangkok again and never eat that delicious street food again.
I miss going to Asiatique The Riverfront – Park and Market looking for food like som tam, kluay tod, pad see, mango stick, rice paper fried etc. Therefore, this time I want to release my longing by making Thai food that I enjoy and love when I used to go there often.
I want to make rice paper fried in my own style. I want to challenge myself to make snacks that originally use meat as a topping and replace it with a plant-based street food.
The ingredients used are healthy, good, quality and easily available ingredients. If you want to recook this recipe, you should follow the steps and ingredients used, so here are the ingredients and steps to make rice paper fried!
Ingredients:
- 7 pcs rice paper
- 200 gr sprouts
- 1 pc carrot
- 3 cloves of red onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- Pepper and salt
- Cayenne pepper
- Leek
- Cooking oil
How to make rice paper fried:
- Wash all the ingredients, including the ingredients that will be used for spices. Puree the spices (shallots, garlic and cayenne pepper). Puree with a blender.
- Heat a wok pan with oil, then sauté the ground spices until they smell good.
- Enter the sprouts and carrots that have been sliced thinly, give salt and pepper to taste, don't forget to taste correction.
- If the ingredients have started to wilt a little, remove and cool.
- Soak the rice paper with water in the container for 3 seconds, then fill the rice paper with stir-fried vegetables. Fill according to taste, not too much because it will make the rice paper break.
- Heat the oil in a wok pan, not too much.
- Fry rice paper with vegetable filling, then drain and serve rice paper fried!
