I want to tell you that near my house, there is an area called La Fuente, where there is a beautiful church that I want to share with you today.Greetings dear friends of #architectureanddesign, I hope your weekend is great, mine could not be better, since I was traveling with my family.
Quiero contarles que cerca de mi casa, hay un sector llamado La Fuente, en el se encuentra una hermosa iglesia que quiero compartir con ustedes hoy.Saludos queridos amigos de #architectureanddesign , espero que su fin de semana sea genial, el mío mejor no pudo ser, ya que estuve de recorrido junto a mi familia.
I visited this area because some friends invited me to their house, at the end of my visit, I walked along the main street to go out to the avenue and stumbled upon this beautiful church.
Its architecture is quite modern, unlike most colonial churches. It was built with the collaboration of many locals and is located on the main street of La Fuente, in the municipality of Antolín del Campo, Nueva Esparta state, Venezuela.
To enter the church, you must climb a short cement staircase decorated with small pebbles and light brown flagstones.
Visité este sector porque unos amigos me invitaron a su casa, al terminar mi visita, recorrí su calle principal para salir a la avenida y tropecé con esta hermosa iglesia.
Su arquitectura es bastante moderna, a diferencia de la mayoría de las iglesias coloniales. Fue construida con la colaboración de muchos lugareños y se ubica en la calle principal de La Fuente, en el municipio Antolín del Campo, estado Nueva Esparta, Venezuela.
Para ingresar a la iglesia, debes subir una corta escalera de cemento decorada con pequeñas piedrecitas y losas de color marrón claro.
The roof is made of thick wooden beams and machimbrado, covered with clay tiles. This type of roofing is common on the island due to Margarita's warm climate.
El techo está hecho de gruesas vigas de madera y machimbrado, cubierto con tejas de barro. Este tipo de techado es común en la isla debido al clima cálido de Margarita.
The main door, made of wood in the form of an arch, is adorned with glass squares of various colors. On the upper part of the door, the name of the church is written in white letters: “Iglesia del Stmo Cristo”.
La puerta principal, de madera en forma de arco, está adornada con cuadros de vidrio de varios colores. En la parte superior de la puerta, se lee el nombre de la iglesia en letras blancas: "Iglesia del Stmo Cristo".
On both sides of the door, there are two plaques indicating who founded the church and in what year.
A ambos lados de la puerta, hay dos placas que indican quién fundó la iglesia y en qué año.
One of the plaques gives thanks for the construction of this place of worship.
Una de las placas agradece por la construcción de este lugar de culto.
On the sides, large square wooden and glass windows allow light to enter. On top of these windows, there is a wooden arch with stained glass, nicely varnished that as a whole complement each other well, from the outside, these two pieces look like a single unit.
En los laterales, grandes ventanas de madera y cristal cuadradas permiten la entrada de luz. En la parte superior de estas ventanas, se encuentra un arco de madera con vidrios de colores, muy bien barnizado que en su conjunto se complementan bien, desde el exterior, estas dos piezas parecen una sola unidad.
At the back of the church, there are several medium-sized windows, also made of wood and arched glass.
En la parte trasera de la iglesia, hay varias ventanas de tamaño mediano, también de madera y cristal en forma de arco.
In addition, on the back wall, two stained glass windows provide beautiful illumination to the interior. Unfortunately, I was unable to enter due to the schedule, but I was still able to appreciate its exterior beauty.
Además, en la pared posterior, dos vitrales proporcionan una hermosa iluminación al interior. Lamentablemente, no pude entrar debido al horario, pero aún así pude apreciar su belleza exterior.
The area surrounding the church, both front and sides, is covered with well-polished brown tiles.
El área que rodea la iglesia, tanto por el frente como por los costados, está cubierta de baldosas de color marrón bien pulidas.
At the end of the hallway facing the front is the tower with metal stairs leading to the bell at the top. The padre only opens the tower door when it is time to ring the bells for the parishioners. At the top of the tower stands a cross that can be seen from various points in La Fuente.
Al final del pasillo que da hacia el frente, se encuentra la torre con escaleras metálicas que llevan a la campana en lo alto. El padre solo abre la puerta de la torre cuando es hora de tocar las campanas para los feligreses. En la cima de la torre, se alza una cruz que se divisa desde diversos puntos de La Fuente.
The church is surrounded by stone veneered walls and, at regular distances, small arches with metal crosses adorn and protect the entire exterior.
La iglesia está rodeada por muros de piedra enchapados y, a distancias regulares, pequeños arcos con cruces de metal adornan y protegen todo el exterior.
When I finished appreciating this little church I continued my way home.

You are right there are few churches here with impressive modern architecture, I have only been able to locate two.
They are small but very nice.
