my school is my second home

Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten, this is the name of the school where I work. Located in a small town in North Sumatra, Binjai City. My school building is fairly simple, and quite old.

First, I will tell you a little history about the founding of my school.
Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten was founded in 1963, to be precise on April 1 1963. Previously my school was not in this building, but was still attached to a secondary school belonging to Muhammadiyah. Muhammadiyah is a large religious organization in Indonesia.
Because in the past there were no kindergartens in my city, and they weren't considered important, so the place was still free. Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten is one of the first kindergarten schools in my city. Until finally in 1976 they thought a special building was needed for this school, and finally this building was built and started to be occupied in 1982.

This building consists of 2 levels. The first level consists of office space, and 5 classrooms for children's study rooms, 2 bathrooms and a multipurpose room. Meanwhile, on the second floor there are 6 rooms, but we use 2 rooms for children's study classes, there is 1 bathroom, and 1 room is used as a residence for the school guard.

I made the open space at the front of the school a free play area for children, an open space with several play
equipment for children. There are 2 mango trees there, planted to make our school shady, because we don't have land to plant trees, so we planted a mango tree at the end of the building. On the other side of the front, precisely in the area near the building entrance, we created a parking area and planted mango trees for shade. The reason we plant mango trees is not only for shade but also for the fruit we can enjoy. Not bad.

I deliberately gave the school building and fence a green color, to give a cool and comfortable impression, because we don't have space to plant trees

For the classrooms, I give each class a different color, so that the children feel like they are getting another experience when they enter another class, so the children don't get bored of learning.

For the office, I installed glass doors and windows, so I could see the situation outside, while each study class was still in the same shape as when it was first built, only I changed the floor to ceramic.

The doors and windows are made of very good and strong wood, proven to have been installed for decades but are still good and not at all eaten by termites. The building pillars also look sturdy.

Outside the classroom, I made it a multi-purpose room, here we can play, a meeting place with parents, a sports place and so on. Near the multi-purpose room I placed a hand washing station, so that it is easy for children to wash their hands before or after eating or playing.

To get to the 2nd floor, there are stairs that are sloping to make it safe for children to climb, and there is a hallway to get to the classroom. And under the stairs we use it as a kitchen.

In the classroom we put tables and chairs for children to study, but we also put short tables and provide sitting mats if children want to do activities below.

We also put lockers to store children's study equipment. Don't forget, we also place rubbish bins, so that children get used to throwing rubbish in the right place. And in the corner of the classroom there is also a place to store children's games.

This is my school, even though the shape is not luxurious, we feel comfortable when we are in it,
Thank You

from 1963 until now this school is still good and well maintained. The choice of colors is also in accordance with what you said, cool to the eye, the choice of green combined with white on the pillars makes it look harmonious. The layout of the room looks clean and neat. Thank you for sharing
