Viewing a modified Malay house at the Malaysian art museum.

There are many roads, many things to see and many things that can be used as stories for our experiences or just to share with other friends. That is why I really like traveling when I have a teaching holiday. There are so many stories that I can share with my students who have grown up so that they not only know one area where they live but also they have to know many things so that their knowledge also increases and their views on life also become broader.

And here I am with an unfinished story about Malaysia, especially Kuala Lumpur, I never get tired of telling stories about this Malay country. Now I will also see the differences between traditional Malay houses in Malaysia and those in my own village, Indonesia. One thing for sure that I can conclude is that the traditional Malay house that I found in this art museum has been mixed with modern designs, although it does not eliminate the Malay element itself.

Usually I always find Malay traditional houses that are identical with greenish yellow then combined with the green color of the leaves themselves as a symbol of prosperity for the Malay people but here I see this traditional house in Pink. A bright and beautiful color but I have to say that the Malay element in the color has disappeared. Because usually color also affects the authenticity of a building as something that has many meanings in a tribe and each tribe has its own great color. even so I am not saying that this pink building is wrong.

The traditional house is surrounded by beautiful mini gardens that are designed as attractively as possible. Although there is one thing that I don't like to see a little because I personally think it's creepy. And the statue is a guard in the mini garden. There is also a mini fish pond there accompanied by a mini fountain. then under the tree there are chairs so that visitors can relax in this place.

On the other side I saw a mural with a forest theme to blend with the theme of the park in front of it. This is a beautiful mural painting but unfortunately it is covered by the museum's plank so I can't enjoy it to add a photo spot at this point. and when I walked around the other side corner near the exit. It looks neat even though it's a bit barren. And from the building on the side I can explain that the Malay traditional house here has undergone many changes which may have also blended with other customs in this country. even so I like it and I prefer the design of this house from the side where there is a play of lines and forms a new design there starting from the walls and the shape of the windows. I like and I appreciate the Malay house in this museum as an addition to my knowledge.

After my visit to this place I became curious about the Malay traditional house in other areas in Kuala Lumpur. If I find it I will share it with all of you here. Greetings from me Maytom, Indonesia
