Today, we are told to write about our best childhood memories. I had a lot of good times as a child so I may share not one . My best seasons were Christmas season as that time of year every of my relatives would be back for the holiday and there was always merriments and togetherness. I love Christmas experience because there was no reason for us to think of how we would do house chores and other errands, as there were many people in the house that were always there to do the chores and run errands too.

I remember this Christmas, when we needed to go for a sit-out. I never believed that my parents were that fun to be with. They told us about it, and we were like, "We don't like it" because we felt it would be boring, but to our greatest surprise, it turned out to be the best Christmas ever in my life.

In the morning of that day, we were feeling so reluctant to prepare for the hangout. Mum was really hyping the thing. Oh mom was the life any party in the home. Rest in peace, mum. She woke with a hype song and told us that we would enjoy ourselves as far as she would be there.

We summed up some courage an we started preparing for it. My elder sister even went to the market to buy a dress for the hangout. I remember that I made my hair for the hangout too. Dad was very excited because Christmas would be different that year.

In the afternoon, we cook some dishes and mom surprised us. She brought out take away plates and told us to pack the food into the plates. We were wondering why she told Us to do so. Since it was mom, we did .

In the evening, we left for the hangout at a place called Christmas Village in our state. As we arrived there, we saw a lot of people celebrating Christmas with their families. We snapped pictures, we met people, and we ate our food.

We packed up to two hundred plates of food, so as we eating mom told us that the remaining food was for people who did not have money to afford a plate of food at the Christmas village since it was a place where people also sell and buy food. We started giving out this packed food to anyone who afford food at that moment. We met a boy who told us that he is an orphan and that he did not have where to stay that is why he roam the street. After we fed him, my dad offer to take him to an orphanage. We also met an old woman who told that no one as given her a Christmas gift before, we were so touched and I was very happy because I love beautiful stories. I love when People's lives are touched with the little we do.

I invite @daraclem, @hively and @tenderdaniel to join this initiative. https://peakd.com/hive-178437/@hive-reachout/hivereachout-communitybest-childhood-memories-inleo-initiative-20-adh
