"The Impact of Social Media on Mental Health" I want to start by telling us what we mean when we talk about mental health.

Mental health is how a person thinks, feels, and acts, and it's important at every stage of life. Mental health is a basic human right and a crucial part of personal, community, and socio-economic development.
Social media has changed the way we interact, communicate, and share our experiences.
People called the children of this generation as robotic children,21st generation children,Jet age etc because of the great impact of social media on our children and their mental health.
The impact of social media on mental health is both positive and negative.
Items like handset, iPhones ,laptop,Tv etc are used to access social media
The positive impact is on the integral part or general area that social media is important and work well for us while the negative part is the bad impact it has on our mental health.
Researchers suggests that excessive social media use can have great negative effects on mental health.
Some of this negative impact among others includes ,
Anxiety , Depression , unrealistic comparisons and diminishing self-esteem.You will just because of fake lives seen on social media beginning to look down on yourself.
Again, exposure to screens and constant notifications disrupt sleep patterns which also affect our mental health is the handwork of social media. many social media users today spend more hours watching screen with little time to sleep which actually affected their mental health.
Online harassment is also one of the dangerous things that cause negative impact on mental health . This can lead to feelings of vulnerability and isolation which will eventually cause
loneliness.
Social media can create a false sense of connection, exacerbating feelings of loneliness.
Constantly checking social media can fuel anxiety on how to get something that you are not yet Cooked or mature to get which will inturn results to mental health problems .
Social media can serve as an avoidance mechanism for emotional problems and issues .
Anything that have disadvantages also have advantages .on a positive impact,
Social media can connect people with others who share similar experiences that can help them to have a great and good mental health.
You live longer both mentally, physically spiritually and healthwise if you have a sense of belonging in any community and society you find yourself. Online groups provide a sense of belonging.
Social media allows users to share their thoughts and feelings.
Through social media you can have access to vitals information that can be useful for building a system that can help you boost and support Mental health.
At this point,if truly social media has both positive and negative impact on mental health,then do the following to avoid the negative impact.
Practice Mindfulness and challenge negative thoughts when you're on social media so that you will no be a victim of bad mental health.Also
Track and limit social media time
Social media's impact on mental health is great While it offers benefits, too much use can have detrimental effects. By adopting responsible social media habits, we can promote good health online discussion and safeguard our mental well-being.
If we truly agree to work together, we can create a healthier online society or forum that supports mental wellness.
Be wise as you use social media.
